I went to this shop twice while we were visiting NOLA last month and completely fell in love with the miniature food creations. However, as I don't wear gold/silver, I wasn't interested in purchasing an assembled piece, only the beads, and they didn't have any in at the store at the time, and we weren't there long enough for me to attend a workshop (as the lady in there suggested when I told her this is what I'm interested in). I took a card with me and as soon as we got home from our travels I sent e msg through the website asking if I could order just the beads. Initially I was answered yes, I sat in front of the website for a long time, took screen shots of her creations I was interested in and created a PDF with requests. I put a lot of time into it and tried to make it as clear as possible. For a reason unknown to me - perhaps because I suggested I'd pay via PayPal? Remy decided this was a scam and not a legitimate request and wrote to me VERY rudely. I can't believe an artist I held in such high regard and kept her card through all our travels would write so rudely to a costumer (I only have FB, I don't have Instagram - maybe she would have been less hostile if I had written to her through Instagram? She doesn't have a FP page - I checked). Anyway, I did nothing wrong and I did not deserve to be spoken so rudely to. My suggestion is: if you visit the shop in person - great. If you wish to order something from the site as is - great. If you wish to order something unique, DO NOT trust what it says on the site's FAQ: "Can you do custom orders? - Yes! We love custom orders. Send me a message and let's see what we can make happen" - DO NOT reach out as you might be written to very rudely too. Naively I thought someone who created such beautiful things would also have a beautiful soul - clearly I was very much mistaken. She wrote to me so acidly and hurtfully, as if I did something wrong by reaching out and wishing to purchase her creations! This is the first - and I hope last - time I came across someone so hateful and rude to a stranger. All the other people I met in NOLA and/or artists I reached out to around the world were lovely and appreciated my business! Even after I sent her screenshots and pictures to assure her I am a real person and have visited her shop and am not a scammer, she would not even entertain the idea she might have been wrong about me. She hurt my feelings and I did nothing to merit that - beware if you contact her as your feelings might be hurt too.

I came here to this shop on my last day of being in NOLA and was just looking around with my friends and partner for souvenirs. We walked in and were not greeted by the lady in front. It also smelled like dog urine as soon as we stepped in. We looked around for a bit and the stuff was super cute. One of friends even made a fortune for the “bubble gum” machine in the store. My partner even politely asked to pet the cute dog and the lady just rudely said yes. When we left we all thanked the lady and said bye and she never looked up from her screen or said anything. Super rude and unpleasant experience. We addressed it in her comments and instead of apologizing or saying anything she just deleted the comments. I hate leaving bad reviews for small businesses but the reactions of the store and the people who work for it has been negative. The owner or whoever is just plain rude and doesn’t take accountability. Don’t shop here if you want to be treated poorly.

I love everything about this place but the employee who was working. She made me feel super uncomfortable and unwelcome at the store and was dismissive of any comments or questions I had. It was not a pleasant shopping experience and I felt pressured to leave as soon as possible. I felt like a bother and a nuisance while I was shopping and she scoffed at me and my partner several times. The actual products are amazing and I loved the art, jewelry, clothes, etc. The store is adorable, but I left empty handed because I felt so guilty and unwelcome in the shop. It was such a bummer because I had found the store on Instagram and made a trip down there specifically for that. I’m sure it would be a lovely experience if she was not...
