They renovated the 1 train platform last year, and it’s already dirty again. The only way to the 1 train is a set of elevators, which creates massive crowds during rush hour whenever one or two of the elevators are out. And that happens frequently. This station also has an unfortunate homeless population, especially at night, and during the winter.

This station is the northern terminus for the C Line, as well as serves as a local/express stop for the A Line. The station also has a passageway connecting it to the 1 Train. Upon exiting the station you'll step foot in Washington Heights. A vibrant and lively neighborhood.

IND & BMT trains(Letter trains) are the worst. Especially the A & D trains at night. This station is ok, relatively safe due to Columbia presbyterian hospital which is up stairs

168 Street Station is NOT operational NOW until sometime in 2020 for the 1 subway trains. The elevators are under renovation. There is a shuttle bus service from the next station 157 Street. Hopefully the new elevators will be faster and NOT require an operator that takes up a lot of space in the elevator. Operator are NOT needed! Many times they are not there and there are NO problems. Hopefully while renovating they will also widen the path to the elevators area. As it is for most of NYC Subway Stations it would be nice to add bathrooms as customery in many other places...

Great station my favorite part of it is the IND (A) and (C) Lines The middle tracks where the C train terminates originally they were going to extend the line to New Jersey on the George Washington Bridge which was going to be a part of the IND Second System but that never came instead (C) trains relay at the 174 St Yard and tips if you’re using the station express trains are on the side and local trains are on the middle for...

Nice station very big holds the A and 1. Currently the 1 train is down for elevator replacements. Hopefully they are good elevators. Barbara D takes the 1 to work and she is very disgruntled because the 1 does not stop at the 168 st station which is where she gets off for work.

The elevators are huge (not the one being replaced). It’s a decent MTA station .... dirty but kind of functional like all...
