El Nuevo Jaya Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

Food it’s good enough, but almost every time we order from there they forget something. My mom even went for a pick up order and luckily she checked before leaving because they forgot something then too. Literally eating my chicharrón de pollo and rice with no beans right now, called like 20 mins ago, it’s just a few blocks away. Like at the very least after so many times say “hey we’ll comp a meal next time” or “hey here’s some extra chicken for the last mess up” - we want to give them a break, give them a chance but they are very dismissive. For that I can’t recommend this place. They better step up because trust me there’s lots of places in the heights to get this type of food.

Edit: they never brought the replacement now. Been like an hour and a half since we initially called. Should be embarrassed. If they took card, would’ve charged back immediately. Place that messes up this many times (not even just our orders, but others’ as well) and makes 0 effort to remedy it, does not deserve your patronage.

The worst service in Washington Heights. the most rough and impertinent women. At first they are friendly but then act in the opposite way. The food looks delicious but when you buy something; half an hour later stinks and with an acid taste. They close at 10: 00 PM and at 9:30 pm are all the trays full of food and that serves you at 3rd day and not the next one because they make you believe that it is fresh. The atmosphere outside this always full of people who from afar you can see that they do nothing legal there. smoking mariiguana and drinking. I do not recommend the place or food. Amazing place I’ve been eating there for 11 years!! Their staff is ever so kind to everyone. Food is affordable and delicious.
