*UPDATE
I now have fungus under my nail! I am furious. Especially since the “manager” advised me to get a fill over press on nails! Wow I cannot believe this.
I understand as the client I should have knowledge and done my research but I asked the tech if I should just remove the press ons completely and the MANAGER insisted on a fill.
Horrible! Do not visit this place. Will have to visit Dr to get more information but this problem was COMPLETELY avoidable. I visited a new salon and they said this is the 1st time they have ever seen something as crazy as this! WOW. Suffering emotional distress….
Very disappointed. I have visited this nail salon in the past and had a good experience so I tried them again.
I had originally asked for a gel fill on my hands and toes. I think it’s important to highlight that I got the original set from a different salon but I assumed Salon Soleil would still be able to complete the request. As a new customer I believed they would advise me if they thought otherwise.
So I sat down and I received the pedicure and everything was good, once I moved over to get my manicure, things went down hill. There was a visible language barrier which is no one’s fault but it really made communication difficult when picking colors, explaining important steps etc.
The tech who worked on my manicure used a press-on tip and some type of acrylic gel to replace my damaged nails which I thought was okay. She then proceeded to add acrylic gel to every nail and some nails were bumpy and super thick! I tried to explain this to her but with the language barrier I don’t believe we could understand each other.
Overall, I am super disappointed with my manicure, the shape is horrible and if it couldn’t be done correctly that should have been clarified because I don’t want to pay for something less than my standards.
Additionally, when it was time to check out the “owner” asked me how do I wanna tip! That’s insane! I have never been coerced or coached into leaving tips. I think it was very rude for her to insert that question to an already unsatisfied customer. Even though I was upset, out of the kindness of my heart I still tipped. She then proceeds to add a $10 tip for both workers when I EXPLICITLY told her I only wanted to leave 1 tip and have them split it. My total went from $135 - $145 - $155.
If you are going to have 2 people working on me that’s your prerogative and business structure but don’t put that burden on the customer that they have to compensate both fairly.
All in all, I am very disappointed and will definitely not be back. Please be careful what...
Read moreI've been to this salon several times and I've always been really pleased with the quality of their work, so it saddens me to have to leave a negative review about my most recent experience.
I've noticed on each prior visit that they have prominent signage throughout the salon advertising a special 10% discount for expectant mothers with an illustration of a pregnant woman. There is a disclaimer at the bottom stating "must be showing." As I'm now 7 months pregnant, in my third trimester, and clearly showing, I was excited to finally have the chance to utilize this special offer.
When I went to pay for my manicure & pedicure, I pointed to the sign and asked the technician if I could take advantage of the discount, turning to my side to show my bump. The lady smiled at me and said, "Sure... sorry, I didn't realize you were pregnant. I thought you were just fat!" I was extremely embarrassed in the moment, but I didn't want to make a scene, so I laughed awkwardly despite feeling awful and paid as quickly as I could.
This employee's comment would be extremely rude and unwarranted to any customer regardless of size. I'm neither a size zero, nor plus size, and I found her comments to be hurtful and upsetting. It's not news these days that pregnancy is a vulnerable, medically fraught experience no matter who you are. I'm shocked at the insensitive treatment that I received, especially when this business is clearly trying to attract repeat business from expectant mothers with the signs advertising the discount. Why even bother if you're going to body-shame a pregnant client who's in her third trimester! Getting your nails done is supposed to be a treat, not an opportunity for a stranger to call you fat. Needless to say, I won't be returning -- and if you aren't into getting body-shamed while handing over your hard-earned dollars, I suggest you...

I am livid and so disappointed in this salon and the workers. After taking off the horrible set I was given, I now have FUNGUS growing under my nail and my nails are so brittle and weak, I can’t even scratch myself!
Now suffering from emotional distress and turmoil. The new salon I went to said they have NEVER seen something as crazy as this; I mean builder gel OVER press-ons, really???
But I do take some responsibility for not being knowledgeable and calling out their craziness, but lesson learned for sure!
I paid $160 for fungus and weak nails, I am furious. And the fact that the “manager” talked me into getting a fill, like how do you work at a nail salon and not know that YOU CAN’T DO THAT! License should be REVOKED.
Just a piece of advice, DO NOT GO...
