Ordered 6 bottles for delivery. Got busy cooking and cleaning and realized I did not get delivery. Had my son check outside in case it was left outside my door which would be stupid as there are 4 other aparrments there. Sure enough there it is a $180 order. And a bottle is missing. Called to a. State that the delivery guy did not ring my doorbell and b. A bottle is missing. This then led to a third degree word salad from the not savvy “manager” Kevin. I had to repeat 3-4 times that his guy did not deliver directly to me and exasperatedly said - maybe he took it. Welllll, that is allllll Kevin wanted to focus on, that I accused his trusted delivery guy of theft and that he needed to investigate. All he had to do was deliver my missing bottle and do his investigation - how is this any of my problem. The level of gaslighting and mansplaining was beyond so I said pick up your bottles and you’ve lost a customer who has spent of dollars since they opened. Really unbelievable. And yes, I called him a moron because he is. So, folks, give your business to smarter, customer-oriented wine store. Oh, and then the even more moron delivery guy came to pick them up argueing with me that who let him in, and he was knocking on the door. Me with music on and 2 rooms away from my door. I was afforded the privilege of being asked for my identification, to be weighed against my signed credit card and not even for evidence of my age.
When I asked the guy behind the counter why he asked me for my identification and not them, he replied that they had made an online purchase. And when I laughed at the excuse he came back with " they are our customers anyway". Both of these statements are lame. I'm offended that I was in a hurry and had to spend my money on people that insult my people.
That was my fault. Next time I won't buy from this place and I think that if you are black and tired of paying people to insult you that you should not buy from them and also write a review.
No need to get upset and give them a reason to call the police and act like you are going to do something. Just don't spend your money and pass the word around that they play these old...
