THIS REVIEW WAS WRITTEN ON THE SPOT BEFORE I EVEN GOT HOME AND WASHED MY HAIR AND SAW THE REALITY (Frieda is the best. This is the second time I got my japanese treatment done by her and it's amazing. I would highly recommend this place.)

Ok so now here comes the ORIGINAL REVIEW. I found her on Groupon, called her and made an appointment...PAID EVERYTHING IN CASH (SERVICE + TIP) 1st time was good that's why I went there back again...saw that the GROUPON DEAL was still going on so I called her again and asked her if she'd prefer the same deal or wanted me to buy through Groupon. She mentioned that it's ok and I can repeat the same process again.

She did my hair again and it looked fine the 1st day but since the next morning my hair started turning curly (this was without wash) I called her showed her pictures and she said it will be fine after the wash BUT NO...as soon as I washed and dried my hair they were all curly...I call FRIEDA and explained her everything. Instead of listening and acknowledging her mistake this woman started YELLING (LITERALLY NO RESPECT FOR THE CLIENT) at me and told me that it's definitely my fault (I don't know but it was my fault according to her) somehow I convinced her to re-do my hair as I paid her whatever she asked (that was more than the Groupon deal) me to pay her she did do my hair BUT IT WAS NOTHING...ALL SHE DID WAS APPLY SOME WATERY SPRAY AND BLOW DRIED MY HAIR (I SHOULDN'T HAVE BUT I TIPPED HER AGAIN CUZ I'M NOT CHEAP...ALL I WANTED WAS MY CURLY HAIR TO BE FLAT STRAIGHT FOR 6-8 MONTHS)

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING TO THIS PLACE. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY BECAUSE THIS LADY HAS NO RESPECT FOR...

The place is a total scam! For ppl that have never been to Coif hair salon, there's a big sign on the door saying "blowout only $20!" I have noticed that sign couple of times before, since I live next block. I came in, a lady asked me if I was there for a blowout, I said yes. The hairdresser (didn't get a name) was actually nice, altho during washing my hair, I would get alot of water on my face and chest(for ppl with makeup on that would be a disaster, but since I didn't have any, that wasn't an issue). She then asked me how I want my blowdry done, I just asked if she can make it abit wavy, she said ok. She did spent quite a long time on my hair, which I don't understand why, since I only wanted something simple (blowdry, twist the brush on the ends and make it wavy!! That's it). Besides alot of hair being pulled out during the process (ouch!) the result was ok, nothing special. I got to the cashier and an Asian lady, I assume the manager or possibly the owner, charged me 25 bucks!! I pointed at the door sign pretty confused, when she rushed to explain xtra $5, with a broken English, since I got those waves I had to pay... Dear Coif business administration, if you do advertise a certain service special, at least stick to it, do not come up with xtra random charges, or else u will lose all ur clients. Thank u. Knowing I live around the corner, and I could easily be their potential regular customer, now they messed up this big I definitely not coming back there and I would not recommend it...

This has been the worst hair salon experience of my life. I went in for blonde highlights, I had golden blonde highlights and wanted to touch up my roots. I wanted to touch up my roots, basically add highlights to my roots so that they match the color that I had on my ends (golden blonde). Unfortunately, the stylist destroyed my hair!!! The woman who did my hair (large woman, Egyptian, her name started with an S) completely destroyed every strand of my hair! She over processed my hair. She turned my golden blonde hair into platinum blonde. She ended up putting bleach on my ends, she added bleach on top of my already bleached hair!! I went to two other hair stylist who were absolutely shocked at what she did to my hair. They said she should have never touched my ends since my ends were already processed, she just had to match the color to the roots. I ended up spending so much money on moisture treatments. This was already 9 months ago and my hair has never been the same since. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I wish I read the negative reviews (on Google and on yelp) before coming here. Do yourself a favor and stay very far away from...
