I was strolling around my neighborhood craving some pizza, I didn't want to go to the normal spot because its overpriced and RETRO PIZZA caught my eye. I decided why not and went inside. Man am I ever glad I did. I started off with an easy cheese slice and a pepperoni slice to eat there. Added some hots and their hot honey drizzled on it and took a bite. It was delicious. I devoured these slices as I sat next to some really cool old movie posters and decided to grab another slice.

I walked up to one of the guys there and asked them what their favorite slice was, they said a Prosciutto with mozzarella slice so I just blindly bought it and dug in. It was absolutely delicious! As I was there I observed how people were coming in and being treated so nicely, a woman with 2 kids in a double baby stroller came in and who I assumed was the owner came over and started playing with the kids. It just had a great atmosphere and for the food to be that good?

ALSO THE PRICES are perfect! Nothing is overpriced or feels like they are upcharging. Totally great spot, I'll be back many more times and will be making this my new favorite...

I think Retro is perhaps the best pizzeria in Ditmars. Pizza slices are a great value and the special slices are only $4.50, and they are generous with the size/toppings of the pizza. The main appeal is that this place serves burrata and prosciutto slices, which is quite rare and novel. Their square slices are also quite good and unique to where you can’t really find them in your generic queens pizzerias. Additionally, their pies are only $25, which are quite affordable and can last 3 meals even if you are a heavy eater.

The restaurant has a nice retro vibe to it and the workers are quite friendly. They also have unique seasoning like hot honey and fig balsamic vinaigrette, which are quite good on pizza.

Overall, this place has pretty good pizza that has a good ratio of crust, crispness, sauce and toppings. But more importantly the price point for the quality is excellent. Highly recommend this place of you are a Queens native - it is one of the better pizza spots in...

My husband and I actually have an addiction to this place. I think we have eaten there at least 5 times a week since it opened — like it’s a problem… but not a bad one to have. Every single thing on the menu is incredible, from the pizzas to the desserts to the zappolis. Fresh ingredients, amazing bread and crusts, delicious cheese. The Portobello Goat cheese panini is a favorite of mine, and so is the fresh mozarella panini. You can’t go wrong with any of the pizzas ever but my particular favorite at the moment is the “special” pizza with arugula, cherry tomatoes and a balsamic glaze. omg. divine.

I used to get sick of pizza but that has yet to happen since we started eating at retro. I see multiple people walking around the neighborhood with boxes from there so I know we aren’t the only ones who have made the discovery of the best pizza in Astoria. On top of that, service is beyond friendly, everyone that works there is a delight....

I wish I could give it a 0 star review, worst staff in NYC and bad quality pizza. I came to this place to pick up a Nutella pizza and the order wasn’t ready despite being ordered online +1hr earlier. Once it was ready, the Hispanic lady at the counter was clearly in a mood and rudely said she wouldn’t give me my order since she needed to see a confirmation. I showed her the confirmation email and she started to cursed me out in Spanish. One of the pizza maker ended up intervening and gave me my order. Please DON’t do business at this place unless you want hear a hostile, moody old lady cursing at you in Spanish for NO reason.

Retro Pizza is a place that truly lives up to its name! From the red glow of the storefront sign to the classic interior with the iconic posters, the aesthetics matched the awesome taste of nostalgia. Regular cheese slice I had for $3 was hella worth it as every bite had a satisfying crunch, "heartful" sauce, and a warmth like going back to the old days. The seasoning on top was the friendly staff who prepared the food! (Thank you very much for making my night 😄) Definitely recommend to anyone who happens to be around Ditmars Blvd on the N & W trains!

This is our go to pizza joint in the nabe. It's a super fun and accommodating restaurant to eat and hang out with kids. The owners are so kind and we love the Retro special pizza which is as delicious vegan. We often get that pie delivered when we have family in town. Their delivery guys are always on the go. Prices are good and we will continue to love Retro pizza- it's becoming a Sunday tradition for us. Pictured my son- hanging out playing with his house baked headless horseman complete with barbecue sauce face.
