I arrived at this location around 1p to purchase some fresh produce. I found my items within a few minutes and made my way to the register. The store itself was rather filthy and disorganized but I was able to maneuver my way around. As I approached the register after waiting in the long line, the cashier asked me if I was ready to be checked out. I thought it was strange since my items were already on the conveyor, either way I responded yes as I walked towards him. Then I noticed the manager was fiddling with the register and there were two other staff members standing with him. As I stood there with no explanation provided, one staff member rang up his items although I was appalled by the lack of customer service; I decidedly stood there and he apologized for the intrusion.
But once he finished, the next staff member placed her items on the register while the manager continued to observe with no comment. Frustrated and surprised by this clear violation of customer service; I decided to say something. As I spoke stating, "really?! No apology or anything after I have been waiting in line. The staff member responded, "I don't have to apologize" as she continued ringing up the items and the manager walked away. I then responded, "where is the manager?!" To confirm his presence and she stated "he right there". I said, "You're the manager?! And you are allowing this to happen!? He just stood there looking at me and then walked away.
I left my items right on the conveyor belt and walked out. This level of disrespect and lack of customer service should not be tolerated by anyone.

Read moreThis supermarket is terrible compared with the fresh food markets up the block on nostrand.
Literally one block away people. Don’t waste your time or money in Aldi
First of all, the store is always very dirty and unorganized. Most of the boxes and produce are empty, with only bottom of the barrel options available 90% of the time.
Never fresh anything. I have never seen fresh herbs or anything for actual cooking here. It’s all garbage.
I think my biggest complaint is that the store is always completely empty of inventory. You will not find what you’re looking for. I repeat you will not find what you’re looking for 😂 you will have to go to 2 or 3 more stores to get what you need, rather than just going up the block to a local supermarket.
The food is always looking damaged and sad. Empty shelves. Bad options. The prices are the same as local shops, if not more.
There’s literally a lady in the triangle who sells the most amazing spices and herbs. Go to her.
The lines here also are always very very long.
The cherry on the icing is the fact that this Aldi makes you deposit 25c to use their shopping carts. How rude and sad. Go somewhere else for real. If you forgot a quarter, you cannot shop here and will be walking right out the door because they do not have any carts or hand baskets.
My experience : I have been living in this area for about 8 years. I was here when they opened this aldis. It has not gotten better and I’ve tried going back many times. It’s always the same as what I described above.
What a waste of space for the community :(

Read moreI love ALDI with a passion and I'm thrilled to have a new one here in Flatbush! This is a brand-new location, and while it is a very clean, spacious, and welcoming store to shop, there is also understandably still some work required before the store can really start operating at their own optimal efficiency & productivity. As with anything new, a few kinks are to be expected, such as logistical issues, like not yet being able to offer accessable parking. As well as the occasional limited product availability, typically due to unexpected delivery issues or otherwise delayed truck. Life happens to everyone, especially businesses, and this new location is absolutely working hard at getting in sync with its personal productivity and daily operations, while also adjusting to its new home here in this busy and colorful multicultural neighborhood, and of course striving towards understanding the needs and concerns of its growing number of both new and returning customers.
Im eagerly spreading the word to everyone in the area about ALDI!🗣️ Hope everyone else, like me, is rooting for this new location to thrive so it'll continue to keep providing our community with its unbelievably affordable groceries and the new and unique selection of weekly-updated "Aldi Finds" products! There's so much more to love about ALDI... Just go see it all...
