This store has the latest trends of furniture . The products are visual and helps customers envision seasonal as well as home decorating ideas. The male cashiers are friendly ,I have not yet encountered a female cashier. I hope that Iād have something great to say if I experience them on my next visit. I visited this place two times. On my second visit I was accompanied by the Apostle Carolyn Dunning - Lett. As an assistant to her we where in the bath aisle and I didnāt have so much of a great experience. This is pertaining to a āfemale employee ā a dark skinned woman with braids. I say this because racism comes in all shades not just white! Plus I didnāt get her name so I had to give a description. As she was walking with a Jamaican male store manager towards the back she made a bias comment about my weight to him and thought I didnāt hear her comment.Upon her bump she did not say sorry or excuse me. Due to me standing on the edge of the aisle faced towards the items within the aisle I didnāt see them coming because I was too focused on assisting the Apostle. However , after the initial bump she blurted out to the manager āshe need to lose some weight she too fatāand they both stood there and laughed. Now I second guessed it because they were walking so rapidly and the āfemale employee āplayed it off as she did nothing . I didnāt want to believe what she said. Truth of the matter is āif that message was for meā the manager stood there and did nothing but conjoined in the comment. Letās face it āif you donāt say something and you know itās wrongā the person is just as guilty! He didnāt inform her of the cooperate compliance of Home Goods and of their value of respecting customers. Her code of conduct was unprofessional and I know 21 people that would like to fill her spot as well as the managers.
Furthermore while at checkout Apostle Carolyn saw a purple multi- purpose hanger that didnāt have any price and it was in the clearance section. She needed the hanger to help with organizing some of her clothes. This item is one of a kind at Home Goods which aides with clothing organization. The cashier inquired about the hanger and the manager immediately said itās regular price , itās not on clearance. The Apostle stated to him that it was in the clearance section ,she had no intentions of getting by on freebies . The manager replied and said to her āIām the manager, I know the priceā. He did not check the system or nothing just a pompous attitude. Then he starts speaking to the āfemale employee ā while standing behind the register that he āis fifty and he needs to keep up his six pack! Is it just me or is there something wrong with this picture . Iāll take fault but how could I if the āfemale employee ā bumps into me without saying excuse me and then speaks ill of me with the managerā. Iām not having āPremenstrual Syndromeā! Ifeel that this was an injustice. The General Manager of Home Goods should re-evaluated that manager and āfemale employeeā. Not a good experience in this note . Overall , I like the store ,the prices are good .However, training needs to take place for...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Home Goods about 2 weeks ago to find a cast iron skillet that was on sale. I walked up to a tall man with locs who appeared to be in charge. I asked him if the item was available so I didn't waste my time standing in line. It was about 15 minutes before 7 PM, the time in which they close. He didn't have the answer, so I preceded to wait in the line hoping to get in. After waiting in line, I get to the door and a different staff member says the remaining customers can't go in. We complained to him that we were not given any notice that they'd be turning customers away who waited in line. He let us in but we were stopped by the tall man from before. He asked who let us in and told us the store was closed. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and VERY UNORGANIZED if you ask me. After being let in, people still went to look for items. I was able to find the pots and pans section that I was looking for, but another employee came over one minute later and told me to bring my items to the front. However, I didn't have enough time to look for what I wanted. If the store closes at 7 PM, don't continue to let people stand on an already long line. A better solution to what they're doing would be to tell people that the store is closing at 7 PM and cut the line at around 6:30 PM or 6:45 PM. That way the last person standing in line will be the last customer and there's no confusion. I will not be returning to Home Goods as a result of this experience. The store is messy and it seems customer service isn't a priority at...
