Went back to pick up the phone sadly Will was not there.
When I walked in a woman was very angry saying she wasnāt being given support. The man saw me and told me to come back later I told him I just needed to pick up my phone that I had ordered and was told earlier today it was here. He asked me to sit The woman had enough and walked out; he came over to me and told me to come back later or another day because he would not hand me my phone. I asked why and he said he didnāt have it so I asked him if he could check he became rude and said he would not. He than explained he could not because he could not leave the floor alone. The policy is understandable but the way he said it was NOT okay. I told him that it was rude and has he explained that from the start that would of been fine; he turned around and walked away without a word I asked him what time I could come back and he ignored me I asked if he was hearing me and he ignored me I asked for hi name and he tried to cover his name tag from me I believe his name is WALACE. I asked for a manager and if he believed he was doing a good job and he just kept rolling his eyes not speaking one word. I am lost for words at the poor service that was provided, or the lack of service at all as he couldnāt even answer a question to when I could be back. Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn Sunday February 11, I walk over to the AT&T store located on 217 Broadway. I inquired about upgrading my phone, but not wanting to do a payment plan. I wanted to simply pay the full price of the phone. I asked about any deals or specials, but if there were none, then I would pay full price. They were not rude, but they did not seem to be well informed. Sale lost.
I was told AT&T no longer allows the purchasing of phones at full price, but instead it must be put on a payment plan. I inquired of both employees and they agreed. Being an AT&T customer from 2001, I knew that made no sense, but they both agreed. I would have to be on a plan for at least 90 days and then I could pay it off in full is what they said.
As I walked away I called AT&T on the phone and the operator reassured me that they were wrong, but I had already made my way back to the Apple store in the Oculus. Jose Para (AT&T employee #42470869) was very patient with me and explained to me what could have been done and tried very hard to get me back to the location, but I had already walked some distance. He deserves 5 stars for service and he brought my confidence back for AT&T.
I ended up buying a phone from Apple which is great. Unfortunately, AT&T does not get the sale for the phone and simply continue to get monthly...
