
Had a really disappointing experience that I still cannot shake after a year. I paid for an open bar/food for 100 people and had 50 guests show up. All of my guests left sober and hungry because the bartenders refused service to even me who was the birthday person. (I also supplied additional liquor which was never used or given back to me) I was promised and payed for a chef I never saw, and was served ice cold food. I had two different djs who both said that the sound system was so messed up they didn't feel comfortable mixing properly. The manager Mathew also turned down the music multiple times throughout the night to a level so low I could barely hear the music. (I toured the space 2 separate times and was showed a volume level that was way louder both times). What hurt the most throughout this entire process was how cold and cruel both David and Mathew were to me. They were very defensive and ended up both ignoring my messages/blocking me. I am not a mean or rude person and really tried my best to communicate in an effective way. If I could sue I would seeing as I paid close to $20,000 for a party that left me with a great emotional damage. I know there are a million 5 stars to this 1 star review, but my experience is real. This is something I don't think I will ever get over. Mathew and David if you're reading this know that I am deeply depressed and saddened more than anything, and I hope you never treat another client this way. Its another day for you, but that party meant the absolute world to me, and I sacrificed a lot for it to be as disappointing as it was.

   Read moreOverall, hosting an event with Atmosfera was a success. The staff were very efficient and went above and beyond to ensure that the event went perfectly. Matthieu exceeded all of my expectations and made my motherâs surprise birthday party beyond anything she couldâve imagined. The only downside I had with hosting an event here is my catering staff were met with very rude remarks from the owner David and the kitchen initially when we got there wasnât completely clean. My DJ was told that âthe music canât be played too loudly,â which left us with the assumption that because this was a predominantly black event, the music wouldâve been ignorantly loud. Initially my impression of the owner is that he was nice, but I feel as though there was a lack of communication and touching base before the event. My only negative take away from this venue is that the owner seems as though theyâre only used to a specific race of clientele and comes off as judgmental and micro aggressive with his demeanor throughout the event. It made some guests feel uncomfortable and I myself was a bit taken aback by that behavior. The kitchen supervisor was rude and told my catering staff that they better âleave my kitchen the way they found it,â when the kitchen was initially unclean and the fridge was full of leftover food. All in all, the event was amazing and there were very minor set backs regarding behavior and treatment of my staff.    Read moreThe space is really beautiful, I loved the indoor and outdoor aspect of it for a summer event but the organization & day of service was a nightmare. I was so excited to find this space and use it for our post wedding ceremony event and getting closer to the actual event things just kept getting worse. We initially had the option between two food vendors they had listed when booked just to learn after my inquiring that the vendor we wanted was no longer affiliated with the space and we were assured the food would be amazing and it was mediocre at best. Getting closer to the event we were assigned a day of coordinator who barely asked questions about the details of the party to then learn a week before the event he would be busy with fashion week and would no longer be working our event (and I only found out because I had a question and reached out to him) the next person assigned barely did much to help. The day of our event, I was assured set up would begin around 2 to start around 3. I walk in at 2:15 and the caterer got there the same time as me, food wasnât served until almost 4. They barely acknowledged me and as I had to keep going over to them to orchestrate what I needed because they had no clue how we wanted the details of our event to go.
