I'm gonna' flat out say that I don't usually write reviews. Ever. I'm one of those guys that if I'm satisfied, I'm usually too lazy to write a proper review...but these guys have done an overhaul on their service and customer relations apparently, and disregard most if not ALL negative reviews prior to this one.
I live only a few blocks away, and I'm new to biking (relatively), I don't have much experience traveling very far. So this is why I chose to go to Bay Harbor Motors.
For the record, I have a 2010 Ninja 250.
These guys are AMAZING to say the least. Noelle, the service manager, helped me expediently not only once, but TWICE. It was my first AND second time being there. I got one rear tire put in, and they squeezed me in before the end of the day in what seemed like a 30 minute job because it was pretty damn fast.
My luck, I ended up getting a nail the FIRST DAY after the tire was put in, so I bought a new set and was going to have them put in along with some parts (frame sliders, and a new left fairing because I dropped the bike like a usual newbie). Even with green slime in the back tire, this process was fast.
I called in after receiving a voicemail that my parts were in (only a few days after ordering may I add) and not only did Noelle give me a 20% discount because she wanted my business, but they also gave me the option to bring my bike in close to the end of the day, for repair to have it ready by the weekend. She quoted me that it'd be ready by Sunday approximately, because she was swamped. I totally understood because it's April, and everyone is preparing to ride.
Not only did she underpromise, but she OVERDELIVERED. My bike was prepared the next day, literally by the end of the day. If I had taken a longer nap, I would've missed the opportunity to grab my bike. Thank god I didn't.
The frame sliders? Yoshimura. The Fairing? Of course OEM Kawasaki. The service? FANTASTIC. The people who work there really do care about you as a customer, and I've been to many a BMW dealership to purchase a car and have gotten shittier service. (I drive a 750Li, so they're bound to treat you well, right?)
Anyway, in retrospect, PLEASE give these guys a chance if you're debating on it. Not only will you be impressed, you'll come out HAPPIER than when you went in, even without your bike! You're in good hands. Thanks again Noelle, you will have my business again for future purchases. You and your team...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI bought a Honda CB500 from here. I gave them a check and they wanted me to wait 3-4 days to clear....No problem. The salesman said they would get the bike prepped in those days. I expressed my concern about the age of the battery, and they stated that it would be new. Also the windshield was missing, and I was told they removed it to prevent any damage, and it would be installed before I picked it up. I came back 5 days later to pick it up, and it was still in the same place and untouched. No prep. I waited 4 hours for them to prep it and install the windshield. Guess what, no windshield. They had lost it. I had borrowed a truck so I had to take it there and then. They assured me they would send me the windshield. I waited a month and still no windshield, so I went to a different Honda dealership near me and ordered one. They had it in 2 days . So I sent the bill to Bay Harbor, and they wouldn't give me the money, and only offered me the wholesale price money no retail. I eventually had to take the lesser amount. Now I wanted the hardware to put it on. The manager sent me a few screws in an envelope that had opened in the mail. I was still missing parts. I called several times and texted them. The manager assured me that they were sent and welcomed me to the Honda family. They never arrived. Also the battery didn't last as it was from 2105. Never, ever, ever believe these people, and if they are my Honda family, then I want a divorce!!!! Peter Bianco who wrote one of the Google reviews was the salesman who lied to me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess what he gave his own employer a favorable review....No Surprise there How many other of these reviews have been written by employees, friends, family, next door neighbors etc. Don't believe them Peter Bianco is a salesman there and wrote a review that he'd bought a bike from there and had a great experience, well not if he'd been dealing with the same salesman I had been, i.e. himself....
