Americano Cafe — Restaurant in New York

New hip spot in town but service is awful. Don’t listen to the other reviews!! Its the business owners & their friends inflating the reviews!! Two people were working the floor but one dresses like night club worker and the other was standing around flicking the espresso machine milk steamer when people clearly put in drink orders. Our drinks took about 30 minutes to come out when it should have taken 5 minutes at most. Why? Because the two people “working” the floor were standing around, hanging out with their friends who were distracting them. The food came out 10 minutes AFTER we got our drinks. Food was pricey and could use a bit more salt. Drinks were expensive for what it is. How do you charge $0.75 for a tsp of HONEY FROM COSTCO? If it was from a local farm sure I would have happily paid for it but I have been to enough cafes and starbucks and they don’t charge for honey. They’re basically giving Costco sampler vibes.

Update: the honey was charged as a syrup when it shouldn’t have been. How can you be so sure that you checked the correct...

I had been trying for ever to visit this cafe, it’s just far from where I live so never made it. Today on a rainy day I just woke up & was craving for French toast, and tired of same old places. Needed to visit someplace new, and decided to go there. Took me more than an hour but I am glad .

This place looks amazing, one of the beautiful cafe I have visited in NY so far, definitely the best looking one on the island! I have much appreciation for the green inside & the use of wood ! Very inviting, I can just seat here all day doing nothing! And I am very picky with places when it comes to cafe where I feel comfortable to stay longer. I think I have find myself one!

I ordered their French toast, and medium house coffee. Because the server said that’s the strongest coffee they have. Including tip the Total came to $22.09, yes it’s kinda expensive! Was the French toast worth the price, not really ! Coffee was great tho.

Customer service was good , could be better. Especially when it’s not busy at all. I will be coming back to try their other yummy...

I absolutely love this place and the owner ! Wondering why I rate a 2 star. I’m big on customer service. Everytime I come I experience one happy worker who been there for years but I forget her name. Lately it has been new workers and they don’t even bring my order to my table as I asked and don’t even speak. A few months ago there was a brand new face , she over warmed up my banana vegan bread and it was crumbs I didn’t complain and said she would give me one on house (she never returned). Yesterday I ordered a breakfast burrito (my favorite) and told the worker bring it to my table , she even made me grab a number . I waited so long for me to go to front and it’s just sitting there. Another new worker. They may need training but I will wait to I see my friend to go again. I don’t like to be rushed or ignored when I’m spending my money. Food quality is really good but customer service always change. P S...
