I recently had the pleasure of visiting bodycraft studio on Atlantic Ave in downtown Brooklyn, and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped foot into the studio, I was greeted by Emily Diers, the founder, who immediately made me feel welcome and at ease.
Emily's passion for teaching and her genuine interest in the well-being of her students is palpable. Her warm hospitality and authentic love for sustainable movement shine through in every sequence. Her joyful and enthusiastic demeanor, coupled with her clear and easy-to-follow cues, create an atmosphere that is both encouraging and empowering.
What sets bodycraft studio apart from others in the area is the design of the space itself. Unlike loud and obnoxious fitness centers that focus on getting people "hyped" to "burn and shred," bodycraft studio offers a very clean, calm, and inviting environment, that encourages guests to down-regulate their stress response, take a deep breath, and let their tension dissipate. The serene ambiance allows you to truly focus on your practice and connect with your body in a meaningful way.
I was particularly impressed with the programming and sequencing at bodycraft studio. The session was intelligently designed, striking a perfect balance between challenging and accessible. What I appreciated most was that the studio promotes a healthy mindset by not promoting toxic body shaming. Instead, the focus is on cultivating a sense of sensory body awareness and self-celebration.
If you are someone who values your body's longevity and seeks pain-free sustainability, I wholeheartedly recommend bodycraft studio. Emily's expertise and the thoughtful approach to movement make this studio a haven for those who prioritize their well-being. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, you'll find a welcoming community and a transformative experience at bodycraft studio.

It’s no exaggeration that I enjoyed every single class. Without hesitation, I became a member of the studio, and the classes are now a highlight of my week. On days when I’m not at the studio, I work out using bodycraft’s vast mobile library. As a lifelong dancer and mover, I have been looking for a place to reconnect with my body after injury and surgeries – bodycraft has served as a safe space to do so and I feel great!

I finally found a place where a workout is joyful expression of movement, a challenge for your body and mind — not just a means to be as skinny as possible or defeat other people in the room. Sure, it's a beautifully aesthetic space, which helps a lot. But that space moves beyond the walls into a sturdy community outside the studio. With the actual workout, there's a class for anyone and everyone, from pilates to dance to yoga, and the instructors are constantly switching it up so you never get bored. bodycraft original was my gateway into the practice - you're sweaty and working every part of your body, but also having so much fun along the way. But since I've tried a bunch of other classes and it's hit after hit. Could not...
