Bronx Draft House — Restaurant in New York

Our server was fantastic! He was happy, friendly, perky, and cute! My friend suggested we meet here after a Monday night Yankees game. Unfortunately, the game ran long, and THEN went into a rain delay. My friend wasnt rushed, though, as she waited, and our server let her know when the kitchen was closing so she could get in a food order. We walked in shortly after, and he was able to put in an order of fries for me. This restaurant/bar is a very quick walk from Gate 6 at Yankee Stadium, less than 5 minutes. And behind the bar are lots of TVs for watching many games & keeping up with that pesky rain delay. Not a large place, the Bronx Drafthouse has lots of seats along the bar plus quite a few hi-top tables that seat 4. I was also excited to find an A/C outlet by our table so I could charge my phone. Since I'd been drinking beer during the game, I stuck with that & had a bottled Stella in a frosty mug. They only offer drink specials on non-game days... I visited this location on a hot Wednesday afternoon (8-8-18). The place is small, but visually nice. The room was warm, so I really didn't get a break from the outside heat. The ordered drinks took a long time to get served due to animosity between the bartender and the waiter (Drinks came in after food. Yeah, that long!). The food was good and it came out fast, I ordered the Drafthouse Tacos and my husband ordered a Quesadilla and Mozzarella Sticks, however the tacos are served with one soft shell (always comes with two), which made it really hard to hold and very messy to eat. Unfortunately, we didn't get utensils, so we had no choice but to caveman it, though we did get plenty of napkins. The waiter was nice and I can just say he was working with what he had, so I totally understand that all the mishaps were not on him. I totally will not be recommending or visiting this place again. I live in the area, so I’ll pop in occasionally & tbh their service team is mostly not hospitable. In today’s service I watched my beer pour go from half foam and sit on counter for over 5-6mins before she poured the remaining, still foamy as hell. I refused before it was brought to my table and my server said it was coming (my brothers beer was poured and served for a couple mins & I watched my beer sit / poured the entire time) so I asked if I can switch to IPA. No thank you. It’s a simple industry standard to pour a new beer if a line is tapped, and to sit there and explain that as to why I would should be okay to receive warm foamed beer instead of pouring a new glass is not okay. Your bar team is weak and it’s a big game day. Then to demand tip 18% & ask additional w/o mention its included is nasty work. You try locals like trash...
