Court Deli — Restaurant in New York

We walked in and saw the sign “PLEASE WAIT TO BE SEATED” no one looked at us or greeted us. The girl in the takeout section was on her phone the entire time with both her AirPods on. The two waitresses were doing nothing hanging in the back. We decided to sit ourselves then two women came in five minutes behind us the waitress Barbara yelled across the room “sit anywhere” while just sitting on a ledge in the back completely unprofessional. A second women went and set there table even though we arrived before them and was waiting. We had to wait another few minutes until we received any attention. When we finished our food the woman looked at our table three times ignoring us. About fifteen minutes later still never came to check on us or get us the check instead she was sat in the back having a cup of tea hanging with the two employees. She took care of two other tables before I finally got her attention for the check. Not to mention the one review that spoke about beggars hanging around this is very true disrupting people while they are eating.

Whether a business is busy or not this is complete ridiculous and horrible...

Ordered (today) thru Grubhub they were late. (Does not affect the star rate that I am giving)

Jumping straight into it, the waffle and the French toast were good I did enjoy it. The milkshake I ordered was strawberry flavored, it was pretty good, though it could have had more of a strawberry taste. They did wrap it really well to avoid spilling. Sides ordered: scrambled eggs with cheese, I didn’t really taste the cheese and there just wasn’t much flavor for me. Sausage links I didn’t eat, my fiancé did and he said they were good, bacon was really good, there was ham in there I don’t like ham in general but my fiancé did enjoy it. Gave plenty of condiments and napkins so that was a plus. Fork was a bit to flimsy for the waffle and f-toast, but it was there so that’s great. The food was still warm when it arrived and that was even better. The packaging for the food is nice and sturdy, will be keeping that for personal use Will I eat there again? This has been a regular for me on Sundays for the past 5 years after dropping my fiancé off at her part-time employment at a big-box retailer nearby. Factually, I’ve been dining here since 1983 when I started working in law enforcement. So, my reviews should be and will be spot on. The food is the typical diner favorites of burgers and breakfast. It used to be a kosher deli then Kosher style deli and now a diner style deli. The food is average however, the flies from excrements from the nearby sidewalk and food droppings seem to have over- taken the restaurant. No matter when I arrive at this food emporium, I am always competing with the flies situation. This annoying encumbrance seems to over-shadow an otherwise good experience. Fast and friendly wait staff are always on the ready. Limited parking adjacent to the Supreme Court’s building circumference can sometimes be had. Don,t attempt this parking excursion...
