I come here to get my fruits and vegetables because I find them to be fresher and when I am in a pinch, Cherry Hill is steps from my home-so it is convenient. However, I just experienced something very uncomfortable from one of the male employees at the register. I get to the register and I see that they have signs that they are no longer giving out Plastic bags and that you need to come with your own or purchase one. I didn’t know so obviously when I get to the register I say yeah I want a bag when the gentleman asked me. I notice everyone walking out with these white reusable bags and yet my items were placed in a blue plastic bag. I asked if I was charged for the bag? He said yes $.20, I said how much is the reusable one he said 15cents. I said so you overcharged me five cents to give me a plastic bag instead of a reusable one. He did not know what to say & tried to convince me how the plastic bag is sturdier. I am bothered by the treatment I just received. It wasn’t about the extra five cents, but more the principle. I was charged more for something less. There is no accountability and makes you wonder how many other people have experienced this same issue at this store. If I didn’t ask and speak up he would have gotten away with it, and maybe he felt I wouldn’t care or speak up for myself. I will not go here anymore and I will be sure to let others know to be aware. It almost felt as if I was profiled because I am obviously not of the same culture as the person who overcharged me, but everyone else in the store were. This is such a shame and...
Read moreI would give this store 4 start until yesterday, but the thing they did yesterday was very disrespectful. Now they deserve only 1 star. I purchased a product from them which is organic milk in glass bottle. i dont want to give the brand name here, because they are nothing to do with this and the product is excellent. The thing is the brand offers a refund option for the beautiful glass bottle so that they can reuse those bottles, which is very eco-friendly behavior and I loved the idea. According to the agreement of the brand with the stores, you can refund the bottle from the stores that you buy the products from. So we went there to refund, they said they can not accept, plus the guy works there called the manager and the attitude of the manager was rude and disrespectful. They were like we went there like we are after $2 refund amount like we are doing this for the money. Even if we did, they are not supposed to behave like that. There is something called awareness and thinking about the environment and eco-friendly practices which the manager of the store doesn't even understand. Plus, If you don't know how to do customer service and how to respect to your customers you are earning money from, you should not be in this business. Very very...
Read moreCherry Hill is NO LONGER the quality go-to market my husband and I valued. The food is no longer the high quality or standard it used to be.
We purchased numerous salads and some prepared foods: Herring with vegetables (potatoes, beats, carrot and egg) - the first ingredient herring - nowhere to be found. What a joke! Olivie salad - (cubed veggie salad with mayo) - tasted like uncooked, old potatoes. (INEDIBLE - we thew it out) Olivie with chicken - tasted old and sour. (INEDIBLE - we thew it out) Marinated fish with vegetables - tough, overcooked, and bland fish drowned in a gallon of oil. (INEDIBLE - we thew it out) Holodets (jellied chicken with egg and veggies) - jelly was chewy and gummy tasted like vomit. (INEDIBLE - we thew it out) Rolled cabbage with meat (golubcy) - we were actually nervous to try it - they were completely bland. (another disappointment.) Enchilada with chicken - husband said it was good. lol
The experience was absolutely atrocious. What a waste of money. Selling garbage is a slap in a face to the customers. Such disrespect! How dare you?
Hit them where it hurts. We will not...
