My wife visited the restaurant and ordered 2 main courses, instead of the cashier checking the order when she gave it to us, she asked if my wife ordered something and my wife said yes so the cashier gave my wife a order without checking it. When we got home, we realized the order was wrong entirely, so I called the restaurant and told the so-called owner and manager it was the wrong order, she said it wasn't their fault and that it was my wife's fault, so then this so-called manager and owner told me to go back to the restaurant and get the right order. But I refused to pick up an order that was already cold so I asked for a refund. This so-called owner and manager advised that she cannot do that and was willing to call the police on me. So I stayed there until she got the real owner who then took care of the situation. After getting my refund I was on my way out the door, the same so-called owner and manager wanted to speak to me outside the restaurant, I told her I don't have time to speak to someone that doesn't have management skills and are not the owner of the business, she didn't accept this response and told me that she didn't need the job, then an owner of a bubble tea drink Cafe was so nosey and told me to back off but I told him to mind his damn business. All in all, the customer service at Duck Wong Wonton Restaurant is outrageously terrible and wanted to serve me food that had...
Read moreHorrible food, Big disappointment.wonton Noodle soup served very hard noodles and the soup broth never really went in sync with the noodles. The wonton itself wasn’t that bad.The black pepper sea bass is horrible,They fried it with the skin still on and they use a cabbage leaf to make you think there’s more sauce underneath.Barely any vegetation and the fish itself tasted worse then McDonald fish. For some reason some of the pieces I ate was chewy, others being soft.Spicy chili chicken salad was also horrible, the chicken was extremely hard and barely any flavor other then the chili spicy ness covering the general flavor( most likely frozen then reheated).I really don’t know why this food is horrible because other ratings shown it being much more appetizing.Every time I walk by the restaurant barely anyone is eating at it even before the pandemic.Keep in mind that I ordered this to go due to the corona virus so they probably thought they could get away with serving unprepared fish and defrosted chicken.Highly recommend you to not eat at this place.I wonder if you dine in, the foods quality is much more better.First picture I took was a piece of fish and the second is a piece of skin of the fish that they didn’t even bother removing. Now I wonder if they even cleaned the fish at all...
Read moreTIPPING MANDATORY. We came inside as a party of 3. We were given the menu right away and waitress came back to get our order which amazed us. She remembered all of our orders without jotting them down 👏👏
The food was good. Came out hot, noodles were firm, soup was not overly salty, wontons were substantially packed, and the congee is subtle.
Upon payment, the bill we got has percentages of tip at the bottom: 18%, 20%, 22%. I gave the card and left the tip empty as I will be giving cash. The lady spotted it right away and asked if we would like to put the tip in the card. I replied I will leave cash. She gave us back our card, took our receipt, and now gathering our stuff to head out. I placed a $7 tip on the bill plate. She said this is not enough! I said, I'm sorry, what was that. She repeated herself and to which I asked her if she is requiring us to tip her 18%???? She replied other restaurants even ask for 25%!!! I thought I will leave this place satisfactorily but I was just so wrong. Mind you, tipping is not mandatory and gratuity is applicable to party of 6 and above!!! Resorting to comparisons against other restaurant's tipping percentage does not make you favorable at all!! You were tipped but you wanted more!!...
