I work in the World Trade Center and they give discounts to people in the complex so I always stop in when I’m looking for myself and also for gifts. I find the staff is extremely helpful and always willing to give styling advice and help me when I’m selecting gifts for female friends/relatives.
I’ve been to this location many times and I’ve found the customer service is always excellent. When shopping for myself, there is a wide selection of modern, well designed and reasonably priced clothing. I am usually greeted by a staff member when I arrive and they are always anxious to help me find a size or alternative.
Living in the city, I have also shopped at the COS in Soho and also on Fifth Avenue, but this one in the Oculus is definitely my favorite and has the most comfortable spacious layout and the best customer service.
I was surprised to see there are some apparently fake reviews below which you can usually identify from people who have posted less than 10 total reviews. Or maybe these were posted by people who were trying to violate store policy and were told they couldn’t! Entitled much?
Don’t trust those phonies, come into the store and see for yourself. This is a terrific...
Read moreThis review is not so much about the quality of the clothing as I've bought a handful of items from COS over the years and they're fine. This review is more of a public notice that this store for some reason because "they lack the equipment", cannot accept returns from online purchases. I was told to go to the location in SoHo or use the prepaid return label (I work near WTC so it's more convenient for me to return items to this location and therefore also get my refund sooner than via a mail return). I don't doubt that the staff was lying when they told me this as they have no reason to, but it's the first I've experienced that one particular store is not able to honor the corporate return policy. COS corporate needs to address this or specifically say something on their website as...
Read moreAvoid this location and go to the Spring Street one, if you can. They’re much more accommodating there. I had a large return from an online order this morning, and didn’t learn until I was in the store that there is a “manager’s discretion $500 limit” for returns. The clerk I spoke with was the manager, and I was not given a reason except that that was the policy. She advised me to start the return there and finish it at the Spring street location. Spring street accepted the remaining $700 return, no questions asked. I did keep hundreds of dollars worth of items from the initial order, and I expect better service than this, COS. you can do better than this manager, who made me run around town...
