Updated January 2024 This was my 7th stay at this property since 2021. I love coming back... I especially love the location. I usually fly in and out of Newark Airport and I use the PATH train between Newark Penn Station and WTC. I am an avid walker and from this location, you have fabulous access to Battery Park City, Hudson River Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, and all the neighborhoods in Lower Manhattan. On my first visit, I made the mistake of booking the cheapest room... Take my advice and spend a bit more to ensure a room with a view (This is critical!). The rooms are rather basic, but they are clean and well-appointed with a comfortable bed and bedding. The windows open a crack so you can have fresh air. Many rooms offer a kitchenette, a mini fridge, and/or a small pull-out sofa. Furnishings are continually updated... On my recent stay, the pull-out sofa was brand new and the mini fridge was new -- It even had a nice freezer compartment! The rooms are very soundproof and quiet (although depending on the layout of your room, you can sometimes hear noise from the hallway and nearby rooms). If you are lucky enough to have a room facing North (9/11 Memorial site) or East, you will enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows. I especially enjoy the two rooftop terraces and the lobby is also welcoming. There are many. many wonderful hotels to choose from in NYC, but for now my loyalty remains with this property.
Second time is a charm! I am so thrilled that I returned to Club Quarters Wall Street. I first stayed here for 3 nights in late May. My visit was solid but with a few minor kinks. In fairness, the city was just reopening from Covid and the weather was horrendous (pouring rain and unusually cold).
I returned for 3 more nights in October and WOW!!! The hotel hit it out of the park. First of all, I splurged on a family suite (2 adjoining rooms each with their own bath) Having an exterior-facing room that faces East, North or South makes a huge difference. I love the floor to ceiling windows (they even open a crack for fresh air!).
Club Quarters is not a luxury hotel but the location is excellent (one block from the 9/11 memorial and Oculus WTC - super convenient to the PATH station and access to NJ), the hotel feels modern and clean. It is a larger busy hotel that seems to attract groups and global travelers. The hotel has a comfortable lobby and two extraordinary rooftop terraces.
I highly recommend this hotel for singles, couples, families and or groups.
The bedding was very nice - crisp white sheets with a comforter and excellent pillows. Many rooms come with a mini fridge, sink and microwave oven. The shower is basic - I appreciate the hand-held feature.
The rooms are very quiet. I was across from the elevator and couldnāt hear anything from the hall. The HVAC system is very quiet and easy to use.
As of October 2021, due to continuing Covid restrictions, there is no daily housekeeping service. The staff goes out of their way to quickly send additional supplies as needed (clean towels, trash pickup, coffee refills, etc. )
I highly recommend this hotel and look forward...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was scheduled at the Club Quarters WTC for a 2-night stay for a business trip. When I arrived at around 5pm, I was told that the hotel was overbooked and there was no room available for me to check in that evening. After a full day of travel, you can probably imagine my frustration and exhaustion, mixed with a dash of panic. Needless to say, I was upset.
I unfortunately can't recall the name of the desk agent who greeted me, but I could tell that he was doing the best that he could. He was visibly shaken by having to have this conversation, and grew increasingly uncomfortable as the hotels that he contacted let him know that they had no rooms available either. Also, in case you were wondering, there were several people in my same situation that evening. Way to go CQWTC!
Here are my issues: Before I arrived, they knew I wasn't going to be able to check in. Why would you wait until I flew to NY and arrived at the hotel to tell me that I had nowhere to stay? In the hospitality business, I would expect a much higher level of preparation and empathy for the situation. I should have been notified AS SOON AS THE RESERVATION WAS MADE that there was no room for me. The hotel should have IMMEDIATELY looked for new accommodations so that I wouldn't experience any delays. The Senior Guest Services Manager was very blunt and inhospitable. I was met with repeated shrugs and "nothing I can do" responses when it was YOUR hotel's fault that the reservation was accepted and that it wasn't able to be honored. Guess I shouldn't expect any different from New York. I'm from the South - we treat our guests with respect. Shame on me for expecting the same here. While they weren't able to find me another suitable hotel (The Ritz had a room, but I wasn't getting a $14k room comped), I was offered a full refund for the stay. I was assured that it was initiated, and that I would receive a confirmation email when it was processed. 2 weeks later and I've not received a thing. No email confirmation. No email reply from the Senior Guest Services Manager. No answer on their direct line. When I called to speak with the front desk, the only response I got was "he'll get back to you". I asked for the front desk associate to please relay the message directly to him that I was very upset and needed a quick response, and it took SEVERAL back and forth minutes to get her to finally stop telling me that "he'll get back to you" and agree to just pass the guy a message.
So as of me submitting this review, I paid $1,200 to sleep on the couch of a coworker who I barely know for a night, then to sleep for 4 hours at the Club Quarters before my early flight the next morning (they had a room available for me on the 2nd night, but I had to be up at 4am for a flight)
Be careful when you make a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy partner and I stayed at the CQH for 4 nights. We arrived home a few days ago. Prior to booking NYC, I was struggling to find a hotel that would place us in a good location but also offer us a good nights sleep. The majority of the hotels I researched, all had frequent trip advisor reviews that customers were unable to sleep due to the car horns and constant flow of traffic. These hotels were based around Times Square and other busy parts of the city. Reviews regarding sleep on this hotel though, were very positive. Having come home, I can confirm this to be true. Both my partner and I slept very comfortably and were not woken up during the night. The hotel is located in the financial district of NYC, next to the New World Trade Centre. There is minimal traffic late at night. |||The hotel itself is based in the perfect location. Itās close to many subway routes offering transit across different parts of the city. Fares are $2.90 and you can use card / Apple Pay. Itās a 2 minute walk to the world trade centre and the 9/11 Musuem and Memorial pools. The scenery leaves you with speechless and I have to say it felt very peaceful and calm at at all times. There are a couple of convenience stores nearby such as Target and 7-11 for snacks and soft drinks. You are also a short walk from Wall Street, where you can see the NYC stock exchange and Federal Hall |||In terms of the hotel staff, they were superb. Very friendly and would wish you a good day when you left each morning to explore the city. Prior to checking out, they stored our suitcases so we could spend the final few hours having a walk around the local area, before we had to head to the airport. This was very helpful and I was grateful for this. I would also like to highlight what I felt to be a really good additional feature in terms of water filling stations. On each level, there would be water filling stations which you can use to fill up your plastic bottles each day. This was free to use. Itās a small touch to the hotel, but to me this made it quite memorable as we could relax each day knowing we didnāt have to visit a local shop to buy water etc. ||I absolutely recommend this hotel - who enjoys theirs sleep after a busy day in a relaxing and comfortable environment, but also offers great access to the main sites the city offers ||I would return to this hotel, should I visit the city again in the future. The pictures attached are that of the WTC next...
