This hotel is truly exceptional, it surprised us in so many ways! I got this room with a Black Friday Deal from Booking, so I was a bit worried about the actual place being too-good-to-be-true. I stayed here 10 years ago and it was great, but hotels in NYC usually decay rapidly. Fortunately, it was an amazing deal! When we arrived the check-in was great, with no hidden charges, and very easy to do. We arrived at 12:30 am and it was fine, there were people to receive and solve our questions. I was worried as I was traveling with my family that the Suite we reserved was not as big for the 4 of us, the staff assured me it was. When I got to the room I got myself a great surprise... the suite was in a corner, it felt huge, and moreover had an AMAZING view to both the World Trade Center and Downtown Manhattan. It was a delight to arrive at this room every time and sleep with the windows open looking at the amazing buildings you are surrounded by. The main bed was delightful to sleep, and the couch-bed was decent. The bathroom was of a good size, especially for NY standards. The sink is outside so that helps the family not to fight for the bathroom. The room has a kitchenette that is very helpful to prep food and the fridge might look tiny but it can hold a lot of stuff. We were worried it was not powerful enough, but our ice cream ended up rock solid.
Besides the room the service was great, there are plenty of elevators shared with the ClubQuarters so there is always one available soon. They can deliver amenities like coffee and shampoo to your room if you desire, and if you have a US phone you can even order it using a text message.
Probably my least favorite part was the "covid-19 rule" of not cleaning your room unless you are staying a week. I have experienced this at other hotels and still annoys me so much, but I understand. You have to call for your trash to be collected, that being said they are quite fast.
The other thing that I didn't like was the quality of the toiletries, they felt quite sub-par to similarly priced hotels. I would suggest upgrading them to have a perfect stay. Also, the TV system needs an update to play YouTube in the room. One TV worked just fine and the other kept asking for an update.
But overall it was a super great stay, it was my family's first time in NYC and the hotel made it a truly unique experience... Thank you World...
Read moreWrote a similarly worded review on Expedia. This Hotel is more like a 3-Star rank, it is overpriced, and seems to be suffering of an "identity crisis". Let me elaborate. My Girlfriend and I recently attended a 3-day festival near Ground Zero of the WTC. So we book a Superior Queen Room after reading its "excellent" reviews online and having seen the stunning views this type of room offered. When we checked it, we found 2 entrances to the hotel, one labelled "Club Quarters Hotel" and one labelled "World Centre Hotel". One was an exit only door and the other was an entrance only door! Ok, fine. We walked in and were met by "L" and "R". "L" seemed amicable. She gave us our access cards to a room and off we went. When we walked in, however, the room resembled the Janitor's cleaning supply depot! The outside view faced a steel industrial AC pipe from the building behind covered in bird feces and a used tissue, no natural light whatsoever. Of course we complained about it, to which they agreed to give us an accessible room, because that's "all they had". So my Girlfriend and I proceeded to the room, only to discover that the room was located within a room, facing a construction zone. The room also had a leaky faucet, definitely not a room worth the $600.00 /night we had paid! So we went back to the front desk and demanded a better room. "R" seemed annoyed by our insistence in getting what we actually paid for. So they reluctantly gave us a room in the 19 Floor with a stellar view, aligned with what we paid for, but they sounded as though they were "doing us a favour"! Really "R"?!! This new and improved room had a defective electrical outlet, weak water pressure, and the balcony door wouldn't lock. A day prior to checking out, hotel decides to deactivate my Girlfriend's key card. When she complained to "R", "R" blames my Lady for keeping the card close to her phone!, asking her for ID and to wait for me before gaining access!!!! This was the straw that dropped the camel's back!!! I am going to seek a partial refund for this rip off of a hotel. Don't be fooled by the awesome reviews of this hotel. Honestly, if you fancy shelling some extra cash for a great view of the city in Lower Manhattan, I recommend you either do the Washington Hotel, The Marriot on West Ave., or even the Holiday Inn,...

Pros Cordial reception Near lower Manhattan attractions
Cons Unclean carpet Constant loud buzzing sound in all parts of the room One of our two TVs doesn’t seem to work The room is freezing; Heating did not work for the entire room only part of it. I slept in my coat because of this. The light in the living room wasn’t working at one point. The view leaves much to be desired with better views of parking and construction than the actual city or 9/11 memorial. CQ app didn’t work for check in despite hotel manager reaching out telling us it could help us have a smooth contactless experience.
SUMMARY While reception staff was courteous, when things don’t work in your room it dampens the entire experience, making what should be a relaxing visit a rather stressful one! This stay was a birthday gift for my senior citizen mother and sadly we won’t be coming back to this place due to the hassles we encountered.
We messaged reception about our issues and were told they would send an electrician last night but that shifted to today. Maybe they will come but who knows?
We still however have the unresolved issue of heat not working in the winter, a loud buzzing sound and a tv not functioning. Wish I could rave about this hotel but this is unacceptable.
Update 2/21/22
Thanks to the electrician that came by yesterday at approx 8 in the morning. He was able to get the other tv to work and adjust the heating. We could not thank him enough! Didn’t have to sleep in a coat last night.
On booking, booking we had also requested a room on a high floor and received a room on the 2nd floor. When we checked in they stated they were full to capacity and couldn’t meet our request. We understand requests can’t always be met but why not communicate prior to our arrival?
The staff is very helpful and we appreciate that. The building however needs work and rooms should be cleaned better particularly the carpets(see pics). We still have a buzzing noise that has been in the room ALL throughout our stay. We now joke that it must be part of the ambience.
All in all the stay was fine but nothing to...
