Very Disappointed with Elite Mitsubishi...was in contact with a very nice sales person (will leave the name out) over text for over a week, with information passed forward and questions asked due to traveling an hour and 15 minutes each way So I wanted to do as much possible before heading in, whether trading in my car or needing to find transportation to dealer ship. Finally came to some numbers via text, that I agreed upon... down payment, monthly payment and trade is value. I also mentioned I could come in on Friday the 9th, i would be there as soon as they open and needed to leave by 12 in order just to make it into work on time. I was told process would only take 45 min. I arrived that Friday as soon as they opened, stated my appointment and to see the finance manager as directed by the salesperson. Firstly, they had trouble finding my appointment and seemed to have no idea I was arriving because the first finance manager or acting (explained later) said he was started driving it yesterday. They looked at my car and let me look at the Volkswagen Tiquan R I was there for. I did my due diligence checking out the car, (no test drive was offered), a breakfast bag was sitting on the seat and the rubbermat shown in dealership pictures was missing from the car...last two okay... I can deal with. I proceed to go back in and say I like it. At this point... it was the sales person ( i never delt with), the other fiancĂŠ/acting manager and I...no one else was present, as I overheard one ask the other "is he nervous." The sales person started doing numbers...which should not have been needed as I had numbers prior. At this time the trade in value of my car was now lower and down payment was higher...at this point we were already past my "45 min." At this time I was told my down payment would be significantly higher, etc. I didn't agree and then I was asked would I be willing to not trade in and take another loan on, I said yes... ( even though this was discussed with the original sales person due to having to travel an hour and 15 min each way...). Then it was stated the finance manager is coming in at 11am (other acting one called him to make sure he was there on time as I only had an hour left) and it was about a 30-35 wait for him, upon arriving on time...he worked some numbers. I was approved for the car but was told I would need 3k down...which was not in my budget as I stated once again my down payment would be and was agreed upon, I also in this process had to do some app set up for something. Now having some time to sign papers will quick if I agreed, there wouldn't have been time to thoroughly to do so. At this point I had to get up to leave to drive the hour and 15 min back to NJ for work. I proceeded to message the original sales person the next day (5/10) to state my feelings and would like the name and number of the store manager. No answer, then I gave it a week and messaged that person once again (5/17) stating I would appreciate a response for a email or phone number for the same person because of the false information/ so called "click bait" I was given just to get me to come in and now a wasted hard inquiry on my credit. Still no answer as of Monday the 19th. ( Some info has been left out of this review, like agreed OTD price to actual OTD price given) Quite an unprofessional manner of a dealership on treating a customer in many ways stated above and not. Also I feel it is unprofessional of a dealership to have an employee using a for sale car for personal transportation which affects the long term wear and tear and the longevity of the factory...
Read moreUnfortunately after giving this dealership a good review by the request of the sales team and I quote âI wonât let you leave without giving us a great reviewâ while my wife and I sat for hours waiting to finalize the paperwork. Aside from the fact that we were cold, tired and hungry and just wanted to wrap it upâŚwe were caught up in the moment of purchasing our first car together, âcertified usedâ I must add (What a joke). Once the vehicle was in our possession, we quickly realized there were issues. Radio did not work, tires were bald, needed wheel alignment, glove light didnât work, and numerous scratches and dings which as per our agreement would be repaired. I received minor attitude from the sales manager when I dropped off the vehicle for the scratch and dent repair. Stating to me that âthose scratches and dings are normal occurrences that happen in supermarket parking lots and suchâ and wasnât happy he was responsible for repairing the damage they promised. I totally agreed with that statement BUT added that âIâ needed to be the one to go through that experience with my car. Anyway, most of it was unsatisfactorily corrected/masked and I accepted it. The wheel alignment wasnât properly corrected either as per a proper Nissan dealership visit which I have documentation for. I had to drop off my car numerous times at Atlantic Mitsubishi while taking the train back home for them to attempt to fix my radio which never happened. I had to take it to an actual Nissan dealer to have it repaired correctly. I paid a reconditioning fee for a service which never took place. Tires needed to be replaced as part of that reconditioning, as per my sales rep, their obligation was to have them at 80% tread life! They had a chunk of rubber missing and were bald!!!!!, see the pictures added to this review. I was given the run around and just gave up. Ohhh, I also failed to mention that all 4 tires were of a different brand đ¤Śđźââď¸. I feel cheated by this ratchet dealership which in fact I could only blame myself for seeing a bunch of red flags and still moving forward with the purchase. The place seemed like a hang out with unprofessional language, attitude and attire. During multiple visits to try and get my vehicle to the standards promised I also witnessed other unfortunate customers complaining and upset about their own issues with Atlantic Mitsubishi. I personally regret ever doing business with this place and will do my very best to avoid them at all cost. My car wasnât even detailed when given to me!!! I had to take it to get cleaned myself. In the end, I took it to Nissan. With a smirk, Nissan service center representative called them and I quote âa jokeâ and repaired...
Read moreThis is the least professional dealership that I have ever been to, which is saying a lot, considering my last car purchase was also a bad experience. I went to go and check out a car, which was advertised online at a decent price. When I went to the dealership to look at the car and finalize the purchase, I was told that there were about $8000 in fees that would be added on. $2000 for a reconditioning fee, which is basically a cleaning fee, $1300 for a destination fee, and then $4300 for the car to have a pre-certified status, which their website comes with every car. During this whole process my salesman was flirting with a woman also looking to buy a car, and another one of the employees would randomly scream out of nowhere, as if he were in a club.
After wasting 4 hours I ended up not getting the car due to the fees, and because I had a 3 hour drive ahead of me (I live in Albany), I was in a hurry to leave. I was never given my registration for my current car back, which I also forgot to mention. When I called the dealer about the registration and with questions about the refund I was told I would be called back, which I never was. I called them again the next day and spoke with the General Manager, Denny, to provide him with the address I would need the registration mailed to, he went on a rant about how it was my fault for forgetting the registration, that he didn't need to mail the registration, and how he was doing me a favor for mailing it. Then he hung up the phone before I could even give him the address to mail it to, and when I tried to call back, he would not take my calls. I left the address with the receptionist that I spoke to, and now have to wait and see if I ever get my registration in the mail
Moral of the story, Unless you are a fan of $8000 required fees and rude managers, do not go to this dealer. I ended up buying the same car without the $8000 worth of fees at a different dealer in NJ, and I would advise you look elsewhere for purchasing a used...
