NYC EventSpace — Attraction in New York

Went for a HOG wrestling show. Had been looking forward to it all week. The second we pulled up a security guard came up to us and told us parking was $20... even though it was public street parking. He referred to my girlfriend as sweetheart and beat around the bush non stop when I said what he’s doing isn’t legal. He said “if we had come here before you’d know they’ve been doing this for years”. This was one of those guys who was going to talk non stop to try to BS me into paying $20 which was NOT going to happen, so I parked around the corner.

The arena itself is Gaudy chic, a relic of the 80s with a single working lightbulb in the entrance ramp and a fake MGM Grande lion on the outside. One of those places you’d see on those fixer up type shows like Bar Rescue, about 20 years past expiration.

Bartenders were very nice to me and drinks were average price.

The worst experience in my entire life. I was publicly humiliated by the security guard at Amaruza Concert Hall and denied entry into the hall just because I didn't move into the line quick enough. And as he did it he smiled the whole time. I pretty much cried the whole night of April 10, 2016 the night Nigerian Artist Olamide performed and I was left out in the freezing cold after purchasing a $50 ticket. Thanks amazura for allows such a thing to occur, allowing me to lose out on $50, and for creating a life long sadness in my life. I will no longer ever attend any other event hosted at this venue ....I don't think any one should ever be humiliated the way I was last night...Good luck to anyone going there hopefully you won't have a horrifying experience like I did. I'm out of my money and didn't get to see the show I paided waited...

Horrible experience... purchased "vip" which were supposed to be expedited entrance(waited in line for 2 hours, and had people cut into the line that were not VIP, but were allowed to do so. Was supposed to be within the first 3 rows .. which were filled before we entered the building. Was supposed to get a drink with our ticket purchase , which they gave us a ticket for upon finally entering, but was told at the bar, that they were no longer excepting them and to go back to the door to get our money back, because we would now have to pay cash . I will never attend an event here again, and will tell my friends of this ordeal. I'm sitting her as I write at 11:34pm for a show that was supposed to start at 10, and they haven't even let everyone in...
