Hillside Hotel Queens — Hotel in New York

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! ||YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.! ||||This place is dirty and sticky, they said it was wax, but I saw the man maid or whatever they are spray raid roach killer on the counter and nightstands and wipe it down…. ||||That’s why it’s sticky or Atlease that’s what I thought until last night, we used to stay here before when they first opened up. Everything was great back in 2016/17, it’s went so far down hill at this point the owners basically left it and bought a new hotel next door….|| Literally right next door….|| They refuse to acknowledge they even own it on the phone,|||| so I walked in and they remembered me and basically said get your family out and come to this hotel, so from the beginning They said leave it and come next door but I already moved luggage in ps4 laptop and filled up the fridge, ||||worse mistake I ever made, it didn’t look that bad from the beginning of my 2 week stay, ||||So 3 days in I basically bought a table cloth to put over the “wax” that makes the tables so sticky and gross, ||on the 4th day I saw them spray the raid and wipe.. no water no soap.. just plan raid I was shocked and used sanitizer everything 20 min on my hands.. ||||on the 5th day I heard screaming and shouting at the front desk, my door is very close to the front desk.. basically it was a pimp who was mad they “charged he’s girls mad money every hour when the room is 130 a day “ I didn’t really pay attention to it though, a hotel is a hotel after all… so I just ignored it and got back on ps4, ||||on the 6th day my sister and her husband came over and they have kids like 5 and 7 years old, they found a lil baggie taped under the table in my room full of condoms…. See pic attached… it was very disgusting we called the front desk and they said “so what? Do you want us to come throw it out?” Any other place would have freaked out and try to make it up to the customer but again I gave them the benefit of the doubt and let it go,|||| on the 7th day when I was thinking twice about paying for another week but since I was lazy again I figured it’s just me I could deal with it, so I told the front desk at 9:30am id be paying for another week but I want another room please, they said” check out is at 10am and it’s 9:30 so if you want another room you must leave that room first” witch was fine but they said “I need to put up another deposit because they’re taking the deposit on that room because check out is 10am and they use the deposit for late fees” I said but isn’t checkout 11am? They were speechless and said again “they’re taking the deposit for late fees” I said after all the horrible things that happened here in your hotel now your trying to steal my deposit?, || I want to talk to the owner about this immediately if you don’t call them I’ll go talk to them nextdoor about this, ||again he tried to makeup more stuff about late fees and they can’t return the deposit, I said I’ll be back im going next door to talk to them, then he goes “ wait wait I can give you the deposit but then you can’t come back here, something about being banned? ||||I said that’s fine and after I checked out n got my deposit back I went next door anyway, the owners apologized and said “I’m right checkout is 11 but if I was staying another week they’re shouldn’t have been a late fee Since I wasn’t leaving, so I’m pretty sure they fired him, ||||So Do Yourself A Favor And DONT...

WARNING: STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. There’s a couple of other hotels to stay in literally a mile radius of this place. I really do hate leaving bad reviews I’ve worked in customer service forever and I understand things can happen that are out of ones control that customers can misunderstand but there was way too much that happened in my 3 night stay at this hotel. ||||First night we walked into the wrong workin TWICE not once twice! We were kept being assigned to the the wrong room. Finally they realized they didn’t have space for us and split the 4 of us into single rooms on different floors. Totally not what we asked for but being out of state and already have been paid in the beginning we had no choice. You’d think they would be more careful right? I totally understand mistakes but you look at what you did wrong and you don’t do it again. I’m the middle of the night I had someone WALK INTO MY ROOM WHILE I WAS SLEEPING. Someone else had been assigned the wrong room. At this point I’m concerned for my safety. This is all in less than 12 hours of being at this place that wants to be called a hotel. ||||Next morning my friends that I had to be split up with gets a call about checking out, we weren’t supposed to check out for another 2 days. To make this looooong story semi-short they needed our rooms for the people that were checking in that day and the room that was supposed to be ours happened to be now ready. I did not want to move I felt for the inconvenience I had received the staff should’ve figured it out but I was offered a LATE CHECK OUT AND A REFUND. Not a full refund but a partial he didn’t have authority to tell me how much and a manager was going to contact me and I understood that and we went to pack out things to move rooms for the convenience of the hotel. This was on Saturday October 12 at around 11am. I wish I would’ve grabbed the guy at the front desks name because it has been a week since I checked out and I have not once spoken with this so-called manager. Every time I call they tell me they’ll let him know and take my name and number and nothing has been done.
