Empire City Water Sports — Local services in New York

Highly recommend this company! If you are thinking about it, just do it! I met 4 staff and every one of them were very nice and friendly! They have such a great group of employees!! The day we were planning to do had a chance of lightning and rain so we decided to wait until the day of instead of booking online in advance. It was our last day in New York and we wouldn’t be able to reschedule. I called them about 2 hours before our desired time and asked if we could still book. The staff I talked to was very nice and he checked if it’s still available. We decided to do Statue of Liberty tour! And I’ll be honest. I was scared at first.lol I was not a driver and was sitting behind my bf but it was my very first time being on jet ski, and it went up and down more than I expected! I’m really glad I didn’t wear normal flip flops. I highly recommend to wear water shoes or sandals that have straps over your ankles so you wouldn’t lose your sandals! We didn’t fall but the family who were on our tour fell twice and it’s pretty easy to lose your sandals if you wear flip flops. And I recommend to wear sunglasses! (They will provide one if you don’t have) I thought I don’t need them but they gave me a pair and decided to wear them…and guess what? I’m really glad I did! You will get wet and get water splash! As you know, ocean water is very salty and it will hurt your eyes.lol You will still get water in your eyes with sunglasses on but it would be worse without them.haha

This is just my personal recommendation but I would recommend to do jet ski towards the end of your trip. The reason is your body gets sore!! My bf and I run half marathon and we regularly run and exercise….but it doesn’t matter.lol so possibly your body gets sore so you might want to avid doing this at the beginning of your trip but towards the end.

About LOCATION! When you look at their location on the map, probably you would be like “…….is this the correct address?? I don’t really see anything here….” Don’t worry. The address on the map and the website is correct! I know it’s kinda of weird spot. When our Lyft driver dropped us off, the driver was worried if this is the correct place we needed to go.lol At the end of the street, you would see a open space on the left (the fence gate would be open). Cars can go in! And you will see sign says jet ski and you will find a blue small shed/trailer with yellow door! So no worry! Just go to the address and they will be there :)

Hello Jet Skii family. Sending a huge thank you to Anthony and Jerry for not only welcoming us on in, but also for setting us up professionally with the tour guide, along with Jerry actually taking his time showing us around NYC. You see it’s different seeing NYC on land than it is on water. But having the opportunity to live this experience on water with myself and my wife, it literally is an indescribable experience that you’d definitely long to live for. But once again, Jerry was phenomenal on our tour. He was patient for when we were behind a bit, he was kind for taking photos of everyone, especially knowing the insurance policy does not let you carry your own phones. So he reassures you that you will have photos, just not from yourself and a selfie, but for safety and insurance wise he will take the photos on his phone. Yes there is a $50 digital charge for the package of photos, but who really cares? It’s a memory that’ll last a life time so having the photos is very special and important to share with others. Packages for skiing; let me just get straight the point, The ULTIMATE PACKAGE is the BEST WAY TO GO. If you want more bank for your buck, I’d recommend you go ahead and get the ULTIMATE PACKAGE. You drive across the entire NYC, you obviously sight see yes, but you also get to take your time. It’s driven 60 miles around all 5 boroughs, through Ellis Island, Freedom Tower, Dumbo Park, under RFK bridge, Verrazano Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Queensborough Bridge, to The Bronx, I mean the list will continue, but you also have to view it for yourself. Under 22 bridges, through canals, if I kept going believe me, you’ll continue to read on and on. But trust me, Jerry is the Tour Guy you would like, what an awesome Person he is. He made sure for the few times My Wife & I fell in the water, he was there to make sure we knew how to get up and back on the skiis. At first it’s a bit rough, but practice makes perfect. Yes the price is a bit high, perhaps it could be a bit better, but at that moment it’s really about the experience.
