I lived here for a year and decided to move even tho it took me longer to commute to school. The building itself is nice and new, and most doormen and maintenance staffs I meet are friendly and helpful. So I added a star for them. However the management office has given me enough troubles that Iâd rather move to avoid future unpleasant experience. Besides not allowing friends to visit or help me pick up forgotten items (doormen were asked to check ID sometimes, and I were stopped a few times too.) , the management is extremely hard to reach. You have to reserve elevators online if you need to move something large than a box or a suitcase, and every time I try to reserve elevator, management doesnât approve or decline the request unless I call or visit the office. Then whatâs the point of the online system? Also you never when when you can find a manager. Doormen told me the office hour is 9-5, but i never found a manager before 10, or after 4. Emails got delayed for weeks. In the past year our rent got miscalculated at least three times and itâs a long process to get the office to correct it. I knew a friend who got treated with discrimination, and his reviews on google got deleted along with many other one star reviews. Also, the hospital and the church are both under construction now, which means noise. Choose another place if you donât want to deal with ridiculous problems or have to show ID when you come home. P.S. someone mentioned (here on google map review) building management called 1 star reviews to change the review. So Iâm using a nickname to protect myself. Iâve read many more complaints here on google and theyâre gone now. Letâs see what...
Read moreThis is the worst apartment I have ever lived and I would strongly suggest that anyone who wants to live here choose somewhere else. The rent is unreasonably high. Before we moved out, we were paying over $6K a month for a 2b/1b apartment. Even though we were paying such ridiculous high rent, WE WERE NOT TREATED WITH RESPECT. Staffs here talk to you in the rudest way you could ever imagine and they respond emails very slowly, if not completely ignore them. The move-out was a nightmare. You were not allowed to move any big furniture through the front door by your own. Why? Because they want you to leave all your furniture in your apartment so that they could either TAKE YOUR THINGS or CHARGE YOU a ridiculous high penalty. At the move-out day, one of the staffs is literally trying to take my roommate's bike in front of us even though we had emphasized several times that we still want that bike. NOT SO FAST YOU GREEDY BAST*RDS! The management team is unprofessional and doesn't show a slight respect to their tenants especially after your moving-out. Two days after the move-out, we received an email asking for payment for the damages we have done. When we asked them for a detailed breakdown of the payment, they simply didn't answer our questions and criticize us in the most condescending tone that I have ever seen in my life. They even threaten us for filing a claim with the Guarantors like we didn't have the money to pay them. This shows nothing but IGNORANCE, ARROGANCE, and GREEDY nature of the...
Read moreRecently moved out, some of the staffs are rude and condescending but there have been also a lot of friendly faces. The living experience was fine but the moving out process was not as good as I expected.
They donât allow moving your furnitures yourself in or out from the front door, which doesnât happen in my new apartment in Queens, so be prepared for being charged for buying insurance for moving your furnitures or receiving eye rollings from the staffs and front desk.
The front door guy bluntly said no when I asked if I can get my mails in the mailbox in case they arrive late. I did the change of address usps but thatâs not a guarantee of getting my important mails. They âassuredâ me that they wonât help their past tenants in anyway or do any more courtesy (or supposedly their jobs) when the tenants stop paying them. Previously I moved out from my apartment in another city, they mailed me my letters to my new address upon notice.
Price is okay, ie cheaper compared to 30 Morningside across street but still is a price for luxury apartment.
Luckily, a lot of staffs we heard who are rude and racist were cleaned out before we came.
Overall a not bad experience, but the move-out process was frustrating. Donât only think about how you are treated when you just start living there but think about how you will be treated when you are about to leave. Find a better place if possible, if not, Enclave is...
