Church of Notre Dame — Local services in New York

Overall a cute little church with lots of statues of Mary. Socially distanced mass, lots of space on the long pews for distancing. The priest didn't wear a mask while leading the service (as I have seen other priests do) but it felt very safe and clean for Covid times. El futuro a veces nos despierta mucha inseguridad. No sabemos qué será de nosotros el día de mañana, y a veces nos imaginamos encerrados en un asilo de ancianos, en un lugar oscuro y desagradable. O pensamos en la posibilidad de enfermarnos gravemente y que los demás no nos cuiden, y terminar abandonados.

Estos y otros pensamientos a veces tiñen el futuro de tristeza o de inquietud. Pero tenemos que creer en la Palabra de Dios, donde él amablemente nos dice: "No te dejaré ni te abandonaré"(Hebreos 13,5), y nos recuerda que "nada podrá separarnos del amor de Dios" (Romanos 8,39).

Si creemos en esas promesas, podemos saber con seguridad que el Espíritu Santo estará de verdad con nosotros, en toda circunstancia. Por eso, no importa tanto cómo será nuestro futuro ni lo que nos sucederá. Es más importante sentirnos seguros sabiendo que no estaremos solos. De eso podemos...
