We had our wedding at Columbia University’s Faculty House, and I truly cannot recommend this venue and their incredible event team highly enough. From the very beginning, Koba and Heather were absolute rockstars: responsive, organized, incredibly detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect.
They were more than just venue coordinators. They were our wedding planners. They guided us through every step of the planning process, accommodated all our needs, and were there the entire day of the wedding, from setup to the very last dance, making sure everything ran flawlessly.
Every single member of the service team was professional, courteous, and top-notch. The food was another standout. We chose the plated dinner option, and it was nothing short of restaurant quality, which you rarely find at wedding venues. Our guests are still raving about it!
What’s even more impressive is the value. Faculty House includes so many essentials—tables, chairs, plates, and more—which kept our overall wedding costs on the lower end for NYC, without compromising on quality or experience. You do not need to be a Columbia alum to host your event here (though alumni do get a 10% discount on space rental).
If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with incredible service, amazing food, and true professionals like Koba and Heather who care deeply about your day, Faculty House should be at the top...
Read moreYou will likely only go here as a faculty guest for lunch or a Columbia University program or outside rental. Food is delicious. I am a big fan of the buffet lunch And the service is excellent and tips are built into the pricing. I was a professor at CU for 20 years so been there countless times. Their AV setup is pretty good for the campus and there are plenty of rooms of different sizes and configurations. I still remember the day my associate dean, the late Steve Isaacs, brought me to lunch on my first week as a member of the faculty. Even though I was low man on the totem pole, I felt like I’d arrived. In late April and May, you’ll see plenty to hear-end celebratory lunches with students...
Read moreI was not sure what to expect when coming to the faculty house cafeteria. Perhaps I expected that there would be an elegance to the place. After all it is named the faculty house. The dutiful service, spectacular views and comfortable atmosphere certainly we’re elegant and excellent. These things alone are what I attribute the above stars to. The food on the other hand was bad at best. The chicken tenders where not even made of chicken. The eclairs tasted liked cardboard. However the Mac cheese was the one upside, if it hadn’t been sitting the container for so long. Overall, an excellent effort and place for students looking for...
