One of THE BEST and HONEST jewelry stores in my area...hands down.
My first encounter with them was a few years when I wanted to sell a piece of jewelry (they buy unwanted jewelry as well). I had an old bracelet that I no longer wanted. I walked down Myrtle, stopping at every place that bought jewelry, and got a price. They ALL weighed it...they ALL did some calculations on a calculator...and they ALL gave me a price between $475-$550 (I went to 4 places). When I got Gold Empire, the entire FEEL of the transaction was different from the very beginning. First and foremost, they didn't look me up and down like I had STOLE the bracelet. Like all the other places, they too weighed it and did calculations. Then offered me $850!!! I almost came to tears. I told them what had happen at the other stores and of course they weren't surprised. Then they actually gave me SOUND ADVICE! It was my first time selling a piece of jewelry and they told me before I go I should check the current price of gold so I would have a better idea on what the price SHOULD look like. I was amazed.
Since then, they are one of only 2 places that I from which I will even buy jewelry. The pieces I have purchased are beautiful and extremely high quality. When I ask to see something they tell me as they are getting it what type of metal it is, if it is diamond, cz, semi precious, etc....and all without me having to ask. They show me what I am asking to see and never seem pushy when offering a complimentary piece or alternative. They are always pleasant and actually address me by name when they see me. One of the better businesses overall in the Myrtle Ave business district.
A lot of places could...
Read moreI had been shopping around online for a while when I saw the ad from Gold Empire Jewelry. It showed exactly what I was looking for at what seemed to be a much better price, so I called for more information. Johnny, the owner, answered most of my questions and agreed to find out more about things he was unsure of and get back to me, which he did the next day. During our conversations, I learned things I hadn’t known before that might have caused me to make the wrong purchase. Johnny’s knowledge and his honesty relieved whatever hesitation I still had about buying something, sight unseen, from a store on the other side of the country. I felt I could trust him and I was right. From the point of sale to the day of delivery, Johnny handled everything promptly and efficiently, giving me constant updates. The product proved to be everything he described and the appraisal he included assured me that I had made a wise choice. It’s nice to know you got more than your money’s worth, especially when making an expensive purchase. What’s even nicer is knowing you have done business with an honorable person who did his best to make you happy. I encourage anyone desiring a similar experience to consider contacting Johnny at Gold...
Read moreThey sold my friend a white gold necklace with a pendent for $600, After she wore it for a little over 1 hour she realized a few “diamonds“ were missing. She was a little suspicious about how they had just fall out with in a short time and she took it to a different Jewelry store to get it appraised and he told her the “diamonds” were not real and the necklace and pendent was valued less then $200. Not even 1 real diamond. She went back same day to confront the owner and sales associate and they both acted as if they were the ones fooled and were very unprofessional. Claimed it was not real “diamonds, but I didn’t ask for REAL DIAMONDS”’. They denied everything refused to give her a refund. Told her “No refunds only store credit”. The worst experience ever ! She lost out on $600 bucks ! They are going to be reported to the authorities and The Better Business Bureau.
P.S Also, if you’re a current customer or previous customer maybe you should go get your jewelry...
