I very much literally experienced emotional and psychological abuse at this treatment center, including yelling and control and sabotage of my treatment by withholding my records to a program I needed. I trusted these people very much. Jordan Rands, my therapist, was psychotically abusive to me. His boss Herman Goldstein (director of the therapy team) not only enabled this, but shouted at me and eventually called some meeting where my treatment team agreed that I yelled one time or something, which wasn't true, and one hundred percent of the people who were there can tell you. The Dr. G, the medical director, as well as Gail Reid, the head of Greenwich, 1000% looked the other way despite my repeated efforts to get help, as did Mr. Rands supervisors. That is all. I was going to write a joking review, but it was just maybe the sickest thing that has ever happened to me, and I sort of consider it a moral obligation to tell EVERYONE. These people literally tried to kill me. It was really sad, and after two suicide attempts (yes TWO) since being forced to leave (while suicidal, with no treatment). Read moreFirst clinician I had was great and the reason this is a 3/5 review and not a 2/5 - however she was a student and a temp hire as a result. I got switched to a clinician whose mannerisms reminded me of one of my abusers. I expressed this to management and that I would like to speak to someone who DOES NOT trigger me. After that, I never got a call back or heard from Greenwich House ever again. I'm with a different provider now. I wouldn't recommend this place for long term treatment...
Read moreThey take Medicaid and their wait list was reasonable. So you know the process: there’s an intake or two, then a psych eval. Afterwards you get placed with a therapist. ( If you don’t click with the therapist, you kinda have to take what’s given, so be forewarned. It can be a lot of time and emotional energy to participate in the process.)
