Horrible experience.
I have been there one week ago, I must say that I travel a lot and it was not my first time in a Duty Free store. I was thinking of getting a little gift and an employee asked her assistance. She asked my budget, I replied and she repeatedly said the number in a shock-voice and asked me again and again '30, right?!'. She said that they sold 'luxury brands' and there was nothing for 30. When I insisted she involuntarily showed some products and kept repeating the number, making me feel almost guilty for asking that. I left feeling very bad, I am sorry that I did not tell the manager at that time.
As I said before, I have been in many Duty Free stores all over the world and even though they sold 'luxury brands' I almost always found a gift for THAT budget. Even if there wasn't anything at all, this is not an excuse for such a poor behavior. As this one is located in one of the world's biggest cities I would hire better personnel or give them a better training. And as I have seen the other comments I am not the only one. Read moreThe sales assistant who helped me this afternoon Friday 7 June 2019 - a dark and heavy young woman, was one of the most unhelpful and rudest persons I’ve ever encountered working in a shop.
I forgot to pack my makeup so I entered to ask her if she had makeup packs for travellers. She replied a very firm “No, we don’t have such things”. One minute later I find not one but two Clarins packs very prominently displayed! Anything I asked was met with a snappy reply, she has no patience for dealing with customers, yet she hung around me, breathing down my neck as I looked around.
When I checked out she was equally rude and abrupt. I’d have bought more from this shop if it weren’t for such an off-putting person who’s obviously in the wrong job and putting clients...
Read moreOur recent visit to the international shoppes at terminal 8 turned into a nightmare when we encountered Souobia Douglas. While simply browsing for beauty products near the L'Occitane area for my mom, Douglas aggressively invaded our personal space and pushed products onto us with an uncomfortable level of eagerness. Her insistence on applying products to our faces crossed all boundaries and left us feeling utterly violated. Adding insult to injury, her hostile demeanor towards us, evident in her mean-spirited expressions and discriminatory treatment based on our limited English and Asian appearance, was nothing short of disgraceful. If this unacceptable behavior persists, it's inevitable that this company will lose its Asian...
