I have been to plenty of business class lounges over the years. Some good, some okay and some plainly disappointing. This lounge is without a doubt one of the best ones I have ever been to. While the welcomeness can be lacking as plenty of other reviews have pointed out has this never been a big worry for me personally. When passing through this lounge, I was always on a night flight thus I never really expected or wanted much interaction with the staff. Something that was/is amazing for me as I want some alone time before boarding.

Having said that, this is a point that does need work on, but overall, that is the only true remark I have. The staff is very professional in the upkeep of the lounge. The area is clean, well maintained and the foods and drinks bar is always well stocked and cleaned. So in those regards, you can expect a very professional and well-ran lounge that hit every expectations of how a business class lounge should look and feel like.

The foods and drinks options are broad, especially towards the evening as they increasingly cater towards dinner. I never had a bad experience in this lounge when it comes to the food. You have plenty of hot and cold meals to choose from. Something that is not that common in many other lounges in America or around the world for that matter.

What I like mostly is how this lounge truly caters towards its Germanness most of the times with plenty of pretzels and the occasional German inspired hot meals. I highly recommend giving these a try. The quality of the beef stews is honestly the best I have had in a business class lounge, and the kitchen makes sure that this very popular menu option is well stocked.

The toilet area is clean, I don't have much to say about it.

Overall, the lounge is big, well stocked in terms of foods and drinks with a wide variety of options in order to cater to most folks expectations. I highly recommend going here, even for economy class passengers. I believe that you can pay a fee that allows you in, and genuinely, if your flight is longer than 8 hours or if its an overnight flight. You might want to spend the extra and get yourself in. Eat plenty, drink plenty, rest a bit and board your flight. It's worth every penny.

It's obviously not the greatest lounge in the world, but its defo a good one. Personally, while many of the negative reviews hold a level of truth, I think that for some they are overexaggerating their bad experiences, holding the lounge to a too high standard and simply having too specific expectations. Remember, this is a general lounge, it's not exclusive. It's not a first class lounge. I've read some reviews here giving less that three stars and it seems to me they have this expectation of being carried around by personal butlers. I get it, it's a business class lounge, but still, it's not a secret exclusive lounge where only a select few can go to. It's a general business class lounge, and in that context, it's for sure a...

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at the Lufthansa Business Lounge at JFK Terminal One on November 23, 2024 in the evening. Upon arrival as a priority member, I encountered a staff member at the front desk whose behavior was shockingly unprofessional.

This individual, whom I believe to be of Indian, or Pakistani descent and of small stature (couldnt get his name based on his behavior), accused me of being drunk without any basis and subsequently called security on me. This drastic measure was taken merely because I dared to provide feedback on how poorly I was being treated. The situation escalated quickly as he became increasingly annoyed and aggravated, making the entire experience extremely distressing.

Not only did he fail to provide the courteous service expected in such a setting, but he also seemed intent on using his position to ensure I had a negative experience, even going so far as to try and have me removed from the airport. This is completely unacceptable behavior.

I strongly believe that feedback and proper training need to be provided to this front desk member. His actions were unbefitting of someone in a customer service role, and he is clearly unqualified to be representing Lufthansa in such a capacity. It is imperative that steps are taken to ensure that no other passengers have to endure such a horrible experience.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing back from you regarding the measures that will be taken to...

First time my mum and I were taking Lufthansa (premium Economy) and were excited. But the start of our vacation was very negative. Never have i felt so degraded and unprofessionally treated by a service agent working in a business lounge. The agent name ASHWINEE treated me and my mum like we were poor and we cannot afford a “business class” access to the lounge. She looked down on us and stated it doesn't matter if you have an Amex platinum, you are not business class so she cannot let us in all while making a very unprofessional comment on people like “us”. The ticket agent who checked us in before security told us she will call so we can have access to the business lounge as it took an hr to get a wheelchair. So as a courtesy she requested for business lounge access. The agent ASHWINEE completely disregarded it and told us to move out of the way. It is a shame that lufthansa has hired people like these to represent their lounge. I am in the service industry as well. For her to treat a senior citizen (my mum) in a disgusting and rude way is unacceptable.

I guess there are many other complaints about the same agent treating people in an unprofessional way. Lufthansa should reconsider her employment. Lufthansa, please train the employees to be kind and respectful specially to senior citizens.

Thankfully there are other lounges we were able to access and were treated very...

Truly the worst customer service I have ever encountered My mom was already nervous about flying post stroke and during COVID. We thought it would be okay if we used miles and flew her business class- The Lufthansa staff were SO rude and refused to let us check in OR help us in any way shape or form. My mom was schlepping her luggage from desk to desk and kept being pushed off onto the next person until the last person tells her her flight was just closed and she could not check in. How long ago did they close the flight? I asked, "6 minutes ago" replied the agent- maybe half the time we had been shuffling from Lufthansa agent to Lufthansa agent trying to get help. We protested to get her back on her flight but they said the flight was overbooked. Very flat affect and lack of any care at all. When my mom asked for help, they yelled that they already told us the flight was closed and we had to be rebooked. They then did NOTHING to help rebook us, the business desk agent sent us to the rebooking desk - the agent there (Agnes) refused to rebook us and just kept saying we had to call Lufthansa- but of course she could not be bothered to provide us with a number or assist us. In addition to the total lack of mask enforcement among employees, Lufthansa customer service is sorely lacking! And JFK was dead- I have hardly ever seen the airport so empty. Still they could not be bothered to help us.

While waiting for our flight to Munich, we spent about 1.5 hours at the first class section of the Lufthansa lounge at JFK airport. After check-in, we were escorted by a very friendly and helpful lady to the priority security lane and afterwards into the Lufthansa lounge which is right after the security. The lounge is divided into three floors, the first is for business class passengers, the second floor is for Senators and the third floor is for first class passengers and HON circle members. The staff at the front desk told us that we will be picked up for boarding, so we could relax in the lounge without worrying about missing our flight. The staff on the third floor was very friendly and helpful, getting us some drinks and an a la carte menu to choose from. The salmon steak was very delicious! Also the snacks and sweets from the buffet offer a nice variety in case you don't need a meal from the menu. The restrooms are located on the second floor, so you either need to walk some stairs or take the elevator (which might take a while during the busy hours of the lounge). We enjoyed the stay at the lounge, thanks to the whole team for taking care of us.
