The food was delicious, but our experience was overshadowed by the service. The waiter seemed annoyed from the start and even rolled his eyes while taking our order. When we asked to split the check, my friend paid in cash, and I paid by card. I wrote $0 for the tip on the receipt because I planned to leave a cash tip. However, before I could explain, the waiter aggressively asked, 'Where’s the tip?'

I was caught off guard but calmly asked if he had change. He responded, 'No, you’re supposed to give me change,' to which I explained that I needed change to leave a tip. He dismissed me, saying, 'Now you know for next time,' despite my attempts to clarify.

There may have been a language barrier, as another customer mentioned the waiter didn’t understand me, but I don’t believe that justifies rude behavior. Unfortunately, this experience has made me...

So far I am a fan of this place. The dining area is very small. I read on Yelp that it was small but when I got there, it is really small. Maybe 2 tables and a bar along the window.

I'd opt for take out as they don't deliver. I ordered the Maki C combo which has crunchy/spicy tuna, crunchy/spicy salmon, and a sunny roll which is basically a spicy california roll. This combo was $16 for 3 rolls and comes with a miso soup. They also have a small Korean section on the menu which is pretty cool. I ordered the Bulgoki over rice from here which comes with a salad, miso soup, and edamame for $9. Overall for 2 people it was under $14 each. Not bad for sushi and korean food in one sitting.

I'd definitely give this place a try, maybe during the week since it doesn't have a big dining area and they do offer some good...

Mediocre sushi paired with hostile service. The restaurant's attitude is best exemplified in their response to a negative Google Review, where they defensively blamed the customer's "etiquette" rather than addressing complaints about their overly aggressive tipping demands.

They've managed largely due to being only on of two sushi options in the area. If you are willing to venture slightly further (Sunnyside, Skillman, beyond) you'll find comparable sushi (if not better) and pricing, without the unprovoked hostility.

With rising costs just about everywhere, customers shouldn't overlook or enable this establishment's poor service, especially when considering the prices...

Ate at this neighborhood gem a while back when they reopened. I really like how the new owners are running the place. I decided to take a chance and order their sushi party platter for my birthday with a couple of friends and WOW! Not only was the sushi so good but the variety was amazing. Also, when I went to go pick the platter up, everything was set up nicely and napkins, condiments and utensils. I usually don't eat sushi but they've got a new regular customer. Don't count out the rice bowls either. The bulgogi over rice is pretty solid. 10/10

Nice hole in the wall place close to one of the Blink gyms I went to today. It's relatively small but the food is fresh and the aesthetic of the place has the feel of that of a Japanese restaurant tucked into a commercial street in Shinjuku. I had a simple lunch special, the sushi I got was pretty filling. I didn't think 3 rolls would be enough but it hit the spot along with the miso soup. Next time I come around and I have a bit more money to blow, I'll try one of their bento boxes but as far as the sushi goes, it's legit.

(4.7⭐️) ordered takeout from this local little spot. I had their shrimp dragon roll which was fresh and yummy. Their ingredients def taste fresh. I tried their pork gyoza which per my taste I would’ve liked them a bit more grill. The miso soup was pretty standard. Even though they seemed a tad bit frustrated because of me asking questions I think it just took us a second to mutual understand each other. I’d def go back and try other options ! The spot has 3-4 tables at most in case you’re thinking of sitting down.
