Terrible experience. After great staff having helped with shirts, a gentleman with a striped shirt and a mask, who probably was the manager, asked why I put the shirts on the counter to the side. And asked if I was speaking to someone or not. I was his 2nd victim after he was seen doing this to another customer. Upon asking if there was a problem, his attitude was the worst I've experienced in NYC - confrontational and looking for trouble. He obviously has no business in retail. Purchased my brand new Lacoste T-shirt yesterday (on the opening day of their new flagship store), off the Diamond District, on 5th Avenue. As soon as I spotted it, I quickly fell in love with it. I have been a loyal Lacoste customer for years, but the staff at this location were extremely unwelcoming. They acted as if customers were an inconvenience, with an attitude that said, "Why are you here?" I was so put off by their demeanor that I didn’t even bother checking out the second level. When I asked one staff member, a Black woman, what was upstairs, she rolled her eyes and dismissively replied, "Clothes... just clothes."
