I had an excellent experience with Rare Carat after a long search to find my perfect ring upgrade. First I went to all the major jewelry stores, Zales, Helzberg's, Kay's, Jared's. I was planning to buy a pre made ring as that's what I've always done before. I had a hard time finding anything I loved that wasn't lab created. I decided early on in the process to buy a natural diamond. I finally found a ring I loved, an emerald halo with pave band, but it was a lab diamond so I passed on it and found a beautiful Neil Lane oval halo ring that I thought I would be happy with. I wore it for about 3 days and first of all I kept regretting not getting the rectangle shape I wanted, second of all the center stone was only 1 carat and thirdly I noticed pretty quickly in the sunlight that it had some obvious inclusions that I didn't see with the store lighting. So I returned that ring and started my search again. At Kay's again I found an emerald halo with natural diamonds but it was only a 3/4 carat. I bought it and regretted that right away too. I thought at least it was the shape I wanted even though not the size. So back to the drawing board again. I started looking at having rings made online. I didn't love the idea because I am very picky and I couldn't try them on. Plus I wasn't sure on how to choose a diamond. I shopped Ritani and Jmaes Avery. I decided to go with Ritani and I decided to get the rectangular shape I wanted but instead of an emerald diamond I went with a radiant. Previously I found a beautiful radiant diamond at Kay's but it was about 4000 over budget. But I remembered how beautiful it sparkled. If you love sparkle a radiant is a great choice. Anyways, at Ritani I chose a halo setting with a pave band. I picked a k color diamond that was si 1 but eye clean. When I received it the diamond was beautiful but it was a yellow tint when you looked closely and I didn't like how small the diamonds were in the setting. I decided to keep it though and wore it for a week before deciding to order the wedding band to match. When I did that I found that the bad was going to be 2500 dollars after tax for an tiny diamond band with .33 carats. I was flabbergasted. None of the bands I've looked at with diamond that small were anywhere near that price range. So that's when that ring went back. I was starting to doubt I was going to be happy with any ring at that point but I was going to try one more time. I found Rare Carat on a Facebook ad. I ordered the Marlow setting with a 1.6 carat radiant diamond j color that was an si 1 but eye clean. A few days later I ended up changing my mind about the Marlow setting because I was worried I wouldn't like it as they only had pictures of it with a round brilliant. I messaged them at 11 pm at night and someone immediately answered and assisted me with the change. I went with the chloe. I was very impressed! Then I noticed that you could run a report on your diamond. I hadn't noticed that option before placing my order. So I ran the report and turns out I had chosen a horrible diamond. They did not reccomned it due to high blue fluorescence. So back to the drawing board on diamonds. I narrowed it down to two. The first one was a j color si 1 that was 1.70 and the second was and f color 1.5 si1. Both reports were good on those. It was a hard decision to make because I really wanted a 2 or 3 carat stone but that was out of the budget. The 1.5 seemed small but I've never owned a colorless diamond. I decided to go with the F color diamond that was smaller but higher quality. I am pleased to tell you that when it arrived I had no regrets. The diamond is beautiful and so is the setting. I got the higher quality diamond with a prettier setting with more diamond weight and upgraded to platinum for much less than the ritani ring. I have finally found my ring!! I definitely recommend Rare Carat. They were so helpful every time I reached out for anything night or day. I haven't gotten service like that anywhere else ever. You won't regret giving them a chance even if you are...
Read more2 mths ago, I shopped for an engagement ring. The markup & salespeople are ridiculous. I then google search âbest place to buy an engagement ringâ I saw a few websites for retail stores, 2 online stores and rarecarat. I read about rarecarat & did internet searches for reviews. Most of you would NEVER consider buying diamond ring online. I initially felt that way too. But, read my honest review and you may signup for Rare Carat. I like that rarecarat is a marketplace for sellers that transparently lists & competes for my business. I get to search most the worlds diamond inventory sitting at home. Some big-name retailers donât list on rarecarat. But, compare GIA certified diamonds on rarecarat to diamonds on those retailer sites, rarecarat marketplace is always a better price and 100% money back guarantee shipping is free & insured. I knew nothing about buying a ring and diamonds. I signed up for & read as much as I could on rarecarat website about natural & lab grown diamonds. I used rarecarat chat & always got a fast response. 3am Sunday morning I open the chat window & ask a question, less than 1 minute later, Iâm chatting with a LIVE Gemologist! I started with rarecarat â8-step guide.â It took 2 months of searching. I found the setting I liked, and the center stone. I went to chat again & again the gemologists were very helpful. Each one I spoke with over 2 months of searching was always helpful & knowledgeable about diamonds. When I narrowed down my choice & still had questions someone was always there to assist. Using the filters on the site allows you to target diamonds in a particular price range & you see so much more than just 4 Câs. GIA certificates are readily available for each GIA certified diamond. Thereâs an option to get a FREE âFull Rare Carat Report.â You get 5 free reports per day. The report is very detailed about the diamond. When you click on a diamond, the actual diamond is displayed & you get several views, even a 360 view. Pictures are crystal clear & magnified. You can upload a picture of your fiancĂ©e hand & see the ring on her finger. I studied this site until I found what I wanted. Most rings are custom made; Cool right? I received an email from the merchant stating that the diamond I had chosen they would not recommend for my setting. The diamond had a few clouds & would show as milky, not brilliant. The merchant would not sell me the diamond because they said I wouldnât be happy. That wouldnât happen in a store! They wouldâve sold me that ring & swore the diamond was so beautiful to this untrained eye. Iâm glad the merchant was honest! It took another 2 weeks to find the perfect diamond and I created a new order. When I did my âFull Rare Carat Report,â it said the same diamond with same GIA # was being sold by another merchant on rarecarat for $400 less! The gemologist asked the initial merchant to price match & they did. Cool right? I completed my order split my invoice to use 3 different cards & it was not a problem for rarecarat; everything went smooth. It took about 10 days to receive my ring from Dan's Jewelry, but it was worth the wait! When the ring was ready, my cards were charged & order was shipped FedEx overnight, insured, signature required. The ring is beautiful! I cannot say enough good stuff about rarecarats help The center diamond Iâve compared on bluenile, jamesallen, kay & zales; NONE OF THEM beat what I paid! The closest was $2300 more than I paid; the other sites were $2500-$2700 more. If youâre looking for diamonds, you should try using rarecarat. Or, find your diamond on another site, get the GIA #, login to rarecarat & get a Full Rare Carat Report. Put in the GIA # of your diamond & see if youâre getting a good deal. I spent a good chunk of money & am so happy with my purchase. I purchased the ring & a matching band from Dan's jewelry using the rarecarat...

We originally ordered a ring from Ritani in June and we were absolutely horrified at the experience. The difference between Ritani and Rare Carat was like night and day. Rare Carat answered all of our questions and concerns pretty much all hours of the day (thanks to their chat feature), and they followed-up within a reasonable time frame. We even tested this theory - we asked Ritani and Rare Carat for hand videos at the same time for the exact same diamond and Rare Carat got back to us in 24 hours. Ritani got back to us in 5 BUSINESS days. This is not ideal when shopping for diamonds because you will be requesting videos left and right for hundreds of diamonds. For every email sent, it would take Ritani 4 days or more to hear back. Their chat feature had very limited availability on weekends/holidays, which again is not ideal when creating a diamond ring. Rare Carat had no limited availability and any follow-up questions to our customizations were answered within 2 days at most.
As for the setting - Chose the Bellora hidden halo setting with claw prongs and a 2mm 18k gold band. The diamond is a 2.83 carat, VS1 clarity, G color. The diamond reflects nice and white. Rare Carat's craftsmanship was miles better than Ritani. Ritani has a workshop on site, so we were baffled to see crooked prongs and a wonky basket getting the "OK" from Quality Control. We were devastated and decided to do a return and start over with Rare Carat. I was short on time, and I needed the ring on a certain date because we were going to be out of town. This was during the July 4th weekend, but Rare Carat was able to accommodate! As soon as I received the box, I knew we made the right choice in choosing Rare Carat. The Ritani ring box was saran wrapped to the inside of the box and the ring was loose inside the box. Rare Carat's ring box was secure and came with a pair of diamond earrings and a cleaning cloth. Everything was packaged with care and the signed note card from the packer was a nice touch. The prongs and basket were perfect and symmetrical. She wanted a hidden halo basket and even though the diamonds around the basket were the same exact specs as the setting from Ritani, Rare Carat seemed to sparkle more and appeared whiter. Additionally, the 18k gold band from Ritani was lighter (in weight and color) than the 18k gold band from Rare Carat. Think of that what you will but overall it felt like we were getting ripped off from Ritani. We will be purchasing our wedding rings from Rare Carat too!
On a side note - Ajay helped me throughout the entire process. What CEO does that?! He responded to my emails within hours and if he had to reach out to vendors, he would let me know that same day! I don't think that guy ever takes a day off. I think Ajay has really changed the diamond game. Out of all of the top diamond retailers, their interface was the easiest to use. They make it easy to compare multiple diamonds and you can look up diamonds by their cert number to compare prices. Customers now have the ability to choose every aspect of their ring without having to go into retail stores and feel like they are getting ripped off/settling. If you're unsure of where to go, go with Rare Carat. They have 5 stars for a reason. We will be customers for...
