Went there last week and had the worst customer service. It was my sister's birthday and since we barely see each other we went to our usual which is Mala Kitchen. We've been patronizing this resto for the longest time. We also held my sister's wedding dinner in this restaurant so it holds a lot of memories and when my mom visits us we always always always eat here.
March 21, 2023 We ordered, food for 4 people and peking duck. We have choices of how much tip should be given. So I rounded off my bill. I wasn't really impressed with the service coz I had to ask for things like utensils, water, plates etc. Were we supposed to use our hands and eat directly on our viands' plates? If the table was prepared for what its supposed to be, i shouldn't have bothered them. So fast forward, the chinese woman with long tied up hair (server 1) approached me and pointed out my tip by poking hard on the receipt. So I asked her, "You want me to tip more?" She was so upset and told me while pointing at the receipt and answered yes. So I told her, "Okay, Im going to give you 25%, but you have to fix your attitude." She said okay. Buuut when I was about to take away the food that I haven't finished, the other lady who was older (server 2) spoke in Mandarin to server 3 and was shouting. I was shook. I already gave 25%. It wasn't enough? So I asked, "Is there a problem? I already gave 25%! You know what? im not giving you 25% anymore." I still tipped them 18% because server 3 was nice, and I was hoping the kitchen would be included because they cooked well.
Management: Customer service is everything. Please, I love this restaurant so much, and I hate that I dont wanna go there for a time being because of these people. Would you be so kind, please, tell them to be kinder.
I know servers are paid lower than most jobs, but tips are for their GOOD customer service. Why would I tip someone who disrespected me? Very...

I was initially skeptical of how a Chinese restaurant in NYC could maintain a 4.9 rating over a large sample size. I came here for lunch, and subsequently came here again for dinner.
辣子鸡 - Crunch bites of chicken akin to Popcorn Chicken, if Popcorn Chicken was also beautifully spicy and flavorful after being tossed with a combination of dried red chilis and fresh green ones. Bits of onion and garlic round out the spicy flavor with mellower more subtle flavors that combine together well.
水煮牛肉 - This spicy braised beef dish is the QUINTESSENTIAL Sichuan dish for me. It is the one dish that is an absolute must whenever I go out for Sichuan cuisine. Key components for me are: Beef - many restaurants do not properly cook the beef inside this dish and it ends up being very bland and like it was boiled separately from the rest of the ingredients. the beef here was beautifully integrated and also generous in its portion size. Vegetables - Maybe just as difficult to get right in this dish is the cabbage. If you leave the cabbage stewed and cooking for too long it becomes soggy and loses all of the texture. The cabbage was perfect with a tiny bit of crunchiness and the bean sprouts similarly done well. Both absorbed the wok-fried flavor of the soup base well to add a smokiness to each bite. Spices - The balancing of flavors for this dish is crucial because its extremely easy to lose a depth of flavor when making this dish due to its nature of almost being a stew. I was very happy with the complexity and felt they did a good job especially with bringing maximum flavor from having just enough garlic in the dish.
Overall, I would rate the experience as quite exceptional. The restaurant itself appears to be very clean, and they employ paper tablecloths that are changed out with...
Read moreAlways wanted to try this place, I thought it was exclusive to queens but I stopped by here during corporate lunch time after seeing some coworkers grubbing from here. Their lunch special is pretty good, total was $14 and some change it comes with a few spring roll or a soup. I chose the spring roll. It was pretty good. I was excited when I saw what I ordered as you will see in photos. I been craving that for a few months now since I first tried it somewhere else. So the chicken was pretty good. Their rice options are white rice or brown rice. I opted for brown. It was just okay. I usually like my Chinese food with fried rice with eggs and onions but they don't have such an option. They can't alter the rice either. But it was still yummy and of course I love me some hot oil. The lady said they don't have hot sauce packets? I'd come back here though cuz I wanna try other menu items.
Edit: My bad I forgot to take pics of the...
