UPDATE: I got an EYE INFECTION, lash breakage and lashes fell about 50% more flat in the next 2 to 3 days. Dr said it might be bc she was working on multiple people and not washing her hands.
ORIGINAL First of all, I have been here twice and wanted to give them a second chance. That being said, learn from my mistakes and don't go at all.
My first session was ok. The lash lift didn't really do much. They were barely curled but I didn't want to worry this salon off totally.
I told them this time that it needed to be more curled. I can tell Yulia is not a professional. I don't know if she has a license but the lift took 1 hour and 34 minutes. She left the chemical on my lashes for much too long. She bounced around the salon, on other clients and I had to lay there with chemicals on my eyes for much longer than anticipated. This is the longest lash lift I've ever gotten. Most are done in less time and they focus on you. For $100 a session, I'd expect that. Or at least keeping with the timer she set.
Additionally, she tried to push me to buy serum even though I didn't want to. I have supplies at home and I don't want to buy random chemicals without looking it up.
The final straw was the customer service. She was short, rude and aggressively pushed me to tip her. I had to leave since the appointment went over so long, I was late. I paid for my service and she told me and demanded I tip her before I leave. I had already taken a picture of her venmo and said I have to do it later. I'm very late. She said no, that I needed to do it now. She wouldn't let me leave until I finally said that tip is not mandatory for leaving. I paid for the service and I can leave. She said that everywhere in New York is a minimum 20% tip. That's not true. Tips are optional. I tried to give this salon a second chance and left even more disappointed than last time.
Save your money and find a different salon with more skilled and official lash techs who are personable and not just pushing you for money while...
Read moreI got a lash lift years ago and it was good. I decided to come back in November because I had a coupon. Otherwise I wouldnât have gone, because to me the price is too high for a perm. I went in and everything was fine but at the end, the lady asked me for a tip. I pulled out a $20 bill and she asked me for more saying that the tip needed to be a certain percent and that we didnât pay the full price. My friend that came with me pulled out more money for her and we ended up paying basically the full price. I understand that tips are helpful but I am already paying for the service. A tip should be optional, you also shouldnât pressure someone into tipping you more. After a few days one of my eyesâ lashes began to look for crinkly, some lashes were facing sideways⌠idk what happened.
Update: Iâm now looking at other reviews and it looks like this isnât then first time someone was pressured into tipping more. Once again, with all the appreciation in the world you do not have to tip someone the percent that is expected by them. Tips are not mandatory. I say this as someone who works off of tips too, itâs not mandatory and I would never pressure someone into tipping more because I donât know...
Read moreI have naturally long and thick lashes, but because they are heavy they donât stay curled very long. So I figured the lash lift was the best way to go. I went for a lash lift (first time) and was a little nervous because of all the mixed reviews, clients complaining of no results and others mentioning being burned/the process being painful. I was extremely apprehensive.
I had a very pleasant experience. I came a bit before my Appt and they managed to take me early. They put the keratin solution first to moisturize my lashes then they started the lash lift. To be honest, I totally fell asleep and had no idea what else happened but I do remember getting an amazing complimentary leg/foot massage. After about 45 mins I was all done and my lashes looked great- they were a bit clumped together from the keratin solution but the woman there told me it was totally normal and by the next day my lashes would be spread out again (which was true because by the next morning my lashes separated and they look FANTASTIC). I will be returning in 6-8 weeks because my naturally long and thick lashes look so great and now I wonât have to curl them everyday like...
