Deeply disappointment with my experience at this salon. I have been going here for awhile and I was gonna let this slide, but this the last straw. Some of the staff, especially Tonya, are very unprofessional and lack customer service skills. The first time I had this nail tech, it was not the best experience. I had to wait 25 mins before she started my nails and ended up late to my next appointment. It was opening time so she had no other customer before me. Not a single apology or anything for the wait. The next time I booked pedicure with a different tech and when I arrived, long behold itâs the same tech again. I should have said something, but I decided not to, let me give her another chance. I specifically booked a french pedicure and this girl did only the base color and said she was finished. I told her I booked french design and her response was âShe didnât know and she already put the oil on so itâs too late to do itâ and then walks away. I was confused because what? Why canât you just wipe the oil off? If I wanted one color I would have chosen a different color. I showed her the booking confirmation that I did book the design and then she catches a bad attitude when I was simply asking her how come she didnât know I wanted design when it says it in my booking. I understand that one might forget or be unsure, but she then stated that she saw the design but thought I just wanted one color because sometimes customers change their minds. In that case, ask the customer what design they want to be sure. She could have said oh Iâm sorry, I thought you wanted one color, let me do the french line for you instead of telling me no itâs too late and giving me an attitude that was so unnecessary as I was quite calm with her. She even went on to say I wouldnât be paying for the design then since she didnât do it. My concern is not about the cost, but the fact that I booked this design and you donât want to do it. She could have handled it much better instead of being rude. Later, the front girl at the front desk agreed that the oil could be wiped off and told the tech to do it, so it wasnât impossible, she just didnât want to do it. I said no because 30 mins had already passed and by that time I was done and didnât want that nail tech again. Also, they take photos of your feet without asking if itâs okay. Just pulls the phone out and start snapping away. Do you not think some customers might be uncomfortable with this? Also, you will get covered in dust from the nail filing if you go here. This makes the experience very uncomfortable. Even hair salons will cover you with a drape when cutting hair. Iâve been to other Russian nail salons and the the dust is not all over you. I said something once like âhey is the dust suppose to be flying all over me like thisâ and the tech told me to wear white next time so you canât see it as if I want to be covered in dust whether or not itâs very visible.    Read moreI have been really hesitant to post this review. I have been going to this salon for a few years now for both pedicures and manicures. The staff is polite and Iâve always had nice technicians in terms of kindness and effort. Skill and technique varied. The management and some of their policies are a different story but that isnât even my concern in this post. Iâve gotten an infection a few times post appointment from the heavy work they do on the cuticles likely resulting from cuts (paranychia as diagnosed by my derm). Iâve brought it up with the salon a few times and theyâve never done anything to truly rectify it. The last time I got my manicure done there, the tech was so heavily working on my cuticle that she so severely damaged my nail bed that it truly left me terrified to ever go back to a salon again. She was so hard on the cuticle that my nail was separating and I got such a bad infection I had to get steroid cream and later antibiotics. I then had to wait for my entire nail to grow out (6+ months). Please look at the photos - my nail was SEVERELY damaged. This hole that you can see had to grow out and a new nail had to come in. My finger was swollen around the nail, red, and looked horrific. I realize this is a first world problem, but it was so embarrassing to work and go outside with this nail and I still havenât gotten a manicure since. My dermatologist told me I was extremely lucky. Apparently if itâs damaged enough it never grows back normal for some people. I showed this nail to the staff and again, all I got was something along the lines of âoh wow how awfulâ. I think the issue here was skill, the tech is kind and she wanted to do a good job (which is why I was hesitant to post) but it really doesnât make up for the fact that my nail was almost permanently messed up. The amount of damage this caused was egregious honestly. The worst part of it was feeling like the management/staff didnât care at all about what had happened due to their inadequately trained staff. How could anyone look at my nail and not do anything to rectify it besides comment on how awful that looks? Yes, it is awful - my nail was almost permanently damaged due to what happened at this salon. That is horrific.. This should have been addressed SO differently by the staff/management. As a customer that frequented this salon for a few years on a regular basis I was extremely disappointed. I really wouldnât recommend anyone to go here - It truly feels like they donât care at all about their customers. Hated how Kamila did my nails , she had to change my French color three times . After sheâs done she asked me do you like your nails? I said âno I hate everything I hate the shape the way they came out I hate everythingâ she said Iâm âsorryâ I go up to the front desk I told the lady very nicely Iâm not happy with my service. She said I can have someone else fix it .I told her I have somewhere to be can I come tomorrow. She said ok 6pm , perfect. I paid and left. Later I get a text asking me to come earlier for the next day , I called the store and the lady says sure that will be $95 with regular tech. Iâm like why ? She went on to say well you shouldâve said something to the nail tech Iâm like okay I did and she did nothing about it. As far as Iâm concerned Iâm paying for a service with a TOP TECHNITIAN ! And did NOT GET TOP TECHNITIAN work! Whatâs so hard to understand I am an unhappy customer . Not once did I ask for money back I just asked for them to make it right. They canât even do that? How is this a business . Basically they are out for themselves âonce you sign the waiver thereâs nothing we can do â OH REALLLLYYY THATS HOW A BUSINESS IS RAN? Yea, stay away .
