DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!!! Just had the worse experience of my life. They do not care about their customers only their nails techs. Hated how Kamila did my nails , she had to change my French color three times . After she’s done she asked me do you like your nails? I said “no I hate everything I hate the shape the way they came out I hate everything” she said I’m “sorry” I go up to the front desk I told the lady very nicely I’m not happy with my service. She said I can have someone else fix it .I told her I have somewhere to be can I come tomorrow. She said ok 6pm , perfect. I paid and left. Later I get a text asking me to come earlier for the next day , I called the store and the lady says sure that will be $95 with regular tech. I’m like why ? Did you not see in the notes this is to fix my nails. She said oh we don’t do that . I’m like what do you mean before I left the lady said come tomorrow we will fix it. She gets loud with me and starts going over policy. I’m like again your not listening to me as a customer IM NOT HAPPY . WHO can I speak to ? the manager calls me , kathlina with no compassion or plan on how to fix the issue. She went on to say well you should’ve said something to the nail tech I’m like okay I did and she did nothing about it. As far as I’m concerned I’m paying for a service with a TOP TECHNITIAN ! And did NOT GET TOP TECHNITIAN work! What’s so hard to understand I am an unhappy customer . Not once did I ask for money back I just asked for them to make it right. They can’t even do that? How is this a business . Basically they are out for themselves “once you sign the waiver there’s nothing we can do “ OH REALLLLYYY THATS HOW A BUSINESS IS RAN? Yea, stay away . They do everything to protect themselves and don’t care if your unsatisfied with your service. The amount of times kathlina said “you should’ve “ must be like 10xs . How dare you talk to a PAYING CUSTOMER LIKE THAT? You should’ve what?! I PAID for a service and expect nothing but the best because I am PAYING more to get a better tech. Shame on you guys! Basically she told me we can’t help you because you signed and from the videos I see her work was perfect. Do you guys hear this LOL. I’m posting videos so you guys can see . RED NAILS IS DONE BY ANOTHER RUSSIAN PLACE. FRENCH WAS DONE HERE BY KAMILLA. HORRIBLE, look how round ! ( I ask for square ) and bulky they look. Lines of the French are not even even . Oh and look at my toes how they came out just such sloppy work!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Russian Nail about a year ago, which revealed poor communication, lack of organization, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. This was especially surprising because I had been a loyal customer of Russian Nails for some time, regularly getting services at both their downtown and midtown locations, and I used to really like their work. I had scheduled a 1.5-hour appointment for a French manicure, but the front desk mistakenly booked me for only an hour. I arrived late that day, which, combined with their scheduling error, created confusion. The technician, who did not speak English, believed there wasn’t enough time for a French manicure and proceeded with a rushed basic manicure instead. I explained my situation with the help of the front desk staff, emphasizing that I was flying out of city next day and really needed a French manicure. The front desk assured me the technician would “do her best” to accommodate this. However, the technician silently completed a basic manicure without attempting a French or discussing the situation further. When the session ended, I was disappointed and asked if she could remove the manicure entirely or do a French manicure after her next client. The front desk agreed she could fix the issue after her next session, and we scheduled a time for me to return. When I arrived at the scheduled time, a different front desk staff member was present and seemed completely unaware of the arrangement. Without attempting to understand the situation, she refused to provide any service and denied my request to fix the original issue. To make matters worse, the staff escalated the situation unnecessarily by calling the police to remove me from the store. This experience was deeply upsetting and unprofessional. Their lack of communication, failure to honor agreements, and disrespectful handling of the situation reflect poorly on the business. Even though this happened a year ago, it left a lasting impression. As someone who used to really appreciate their services and professionalism, I was incredibly disappointed. I would strongly caution anyone considering booking here. Customer satisfaction does not seem to be their priority.

Deeply disappointment with my experience at this salon. I have been going here for awhile and I was gonna let this slide, but this the last straw. Some of the staff, especially Tonya, are very unprofessional and lack customer service skills. The first time I had this nail tech, it was not the best experience. I had to wait 25 mins before she started my nails and ended up late to my next appointment. It was opening time so she had no other customer before me. Not a single apology or anything for the wait. The next time I booked pedicure with a different tech and when I arrived, long behold it’s the same tech again. I should have said something, but I decided not to, let me give her another chance. I specifically booked a french pedicure and this girl did only the base color and said she was finished. I told her I booked french design and her response was “She didn’t know and she already put the oil on so it’s too late to do it” and then walks away. I was confused because what? Why can‘t you just wipe the oil off? If I wanted one color I would have chosen a different color. I showed her the booking confirmation that I did book the design and then she catches a bad attitude when I was simply asking her how come she didn’t know I wanted design when it says it in my booking. I understand that one might forget or be unsure, but she then stated that she saw the design but thought I just wanted one color because sometimes customers change their minds. In that case, ask the customer what design they want to be sure. She could have said oh I’m sorry, I thought you wanted one color, let me do the french line for you instead of telling me no it’s too late and giving me an attitude that was so unnecessary as I was quite calm with her. She even went on to say I wouldn’t be paying for the design then since she didn’t do it. My concern is not about the cost, but the fact that I booked this design and you don’t want to do it. She could have handled it much better instead of being rude. Later, the front girl at the front desk agreed that the oil could be wiped off and told the tech to do it, so it wasn’t impossible, she just didn’t want to do it. I said no because 30 mins had already passed and by that time I was done and didn’t want that nail tech again. Also, they take photos of your feet without asking if it’s okay. Just pulls the phone out and start snapping away. Do you not think some customers might be uncomfortable with this? Also, you will get covered in dust from the nail filing if you go here. This makes the experience very uncomfortable. Even hair salons will cover you with a drape when cutting hair. I’ve been to other Russian nail salons and the the dust is not all over you. I said something once like “hey is the dust suppose to be flying all over me like this” and the tech told me to wear white next time so you can’t see it as if I want to be covered in dust whether or not it’s very visible. I mean head to toe! I must say that the girl at the front desk was very pleasant and handled the situation well, but unfortunately, this was my last straw with this place and I’m...

I have been really hesitant to post this review. I have been going to this salon for a few years now for both pedicures and manicures. The staff is polite and I’ve always had nice technicians in terms of kindness and effort. Skill and technique varied. The management and some of their policies are a different story but that isn’t even my concern in this post. I’ve gotten an infection a few times post appointment from the heavy work they do on the cuticles likely resulting from cuts (paranychia as diagnosed by my derm). I’ve brought it up with the salon a few times and they’ve never done anything to truly rectify it. The last time I got my manicure done there, the tech was so heavily working on my cuticle that she so severely damaged my nail bed that it truly left me terrified to ever go back to a salon again. She was so hard on the cuticle that my nail was separating and I got such a bad infection I had to get steroid cream and later antibiotics. I then had to wait for my entire nail to grow out (6+ months). Please look at the photos - my nail was SEVERELY damaged. This hole that you can see had to grow out and a new nail had to come in. My finger was swollen around the nail, red, and looked horrific. I realize this is a first world problem, but it was so embarrassing to work and go outside with this nail and I still haven’t gotten a manicure since. My dermatologist told me I was extremely lucky. Apparently if it’s damaged enough it never grows back normal for some people. I showed this nail to the staff and again, all I got was something along the lines of “oh wow how awful”. I think the issue here was skill, the tech is kind and she wanted to do a good job (which is why I was hesitant to post) but it really doesn’t make up for the fact that my nail was almost permanently messed up. The amount of damage this caused was egregious honestly. The worst part of it was feeling like the management/staff didn’t care at all about what had happened due to their inadequately trained staff. How could anyone look at my nail and not do anything to rectify it besides comment on how awful that looks? Yes, it is awful - my nail was almost permanently damaged due to what happened at this salon. That is horrific.. This should have been addressed SO differently by the staff/management. As a customer that frequented this salon for a few years on a regular basis I was extremely disappointed. I really wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here - It truly feels like they don’t care at all about their customers.
