Came in looking for a few pairs of Lobb's and EG's, somehow ended up feeling like I was being intrusive just for walking through the door (even though I was the only one in the store, other than the sales person). The salesman was very knowledgeable once choosing to pretend to care someone else was also present, but he was still incomprehensibly apathetic. They ended up not having the size and soles I needed so I asked to order them - took my information (both phone and email) to contact me when they arrived in the next week but I never heard from them again. Not the largest of grievances, but if you're looking to spend more than a pretty penny on just a few pairs of shoes, this is the last place I would consider spending my money given the numerable options in the area... I was in the market for a new pair of shoes and wanted to stay away from the commercial brands as I knew there were better shoes out there. After some serious research I decided to go to Leffot and I was not disappointed. I was treated with the utmost respect and the level of professionalism that they show are second to none. I was given the same amount of time and respect as would be shown to someone who frequents their store often. My experience there was such that when in the market for a new pair of shoes I will only shop there. Honestly if you're in the market for new shoes, consider going to Leffot first and spend some quality time with the staff and ask questions. You will not be disappointed. Great, personal small business in NYC. Steven the owner has been excellent to work with. I recently purchased my 3rd pair from him. The website is excellent, and the photography of each shoe speaks for itself. When it comes to suggestions about things to wear with each shoe, they are very helpful. Customer service is excellent, and when dealing with limited production shoes, that are made outside of the country thats not easy as they don't always control when things get through customs.. . Great shop, will continue to purchase through them and think the new pre-owned section and option is a brilliant idea. Creates a new market place for buyers and sellers of fine footwear. Keep up...
