they’re gonna tell you to return the Groupon and pay Groupon price there. I’m just now reading reviews and I wish I had read them before. The ladies are spilling TEA the woman at front desk was nice to me but also pushy about adding services- Im not even kidding she asked me 5-7 times lol. Same lady I believe was the one calling me every day for 4 days to book an appointment after I called them once to see if they had availability last minute. That should’ve been my first red flag but she was nice so I overlooked it :’) my manicurist was rough and gave me an attitude when I told her she was hurting me while filing down the old gel, telling me she has years of experience. I also told her I wanted my nails short but not too short because I have long nail beds and I don’t want it to hurt. She filed them all down to my skin ignoring my request since she knows best. Did a poor job with shape and cuticles too and when I pointed out what I wanted fixed she joked with me “you want to do them?” Which in hindsight is when I should’ve walked out because the whole experience was pretty uncomfortable and the opposite of relaxing and the results were mid af. Paint job was unevenly distributed like one side or the tip would be thick ew. But at that point I not only wanted to get outta there but had to run out because oh yeah I only got a reg gel manicure (plus reg gel removal extra $10 btw) and it took an hour 45 mins!! Torture!! I ended up paying the “price match” and was unable to return my Groupon so I gave it to my sister to use as it was expiring soon. I felt so bad bc she also encountered the same pushy lady who kept trying to pressure her to add services and felt super uncomfortable after saying no thanks and they switched attitudes and started talking in another language. You would think they would be more mindful of that after seeing these reviews but they clearly don’t care. bottom line: I regret going and sending my sister there. I do not recommend. There are plenty of places in the area with good service, quality manicures, better pricing, better colors (limited!! For such a huge salon I was not impressed at all with their color selection) I’ll attach my mani photos for reference. 1. Taken immediately after in their bathroom...
Read moreThe first time I came here, my cuticle was cut so deeply that it kept bleeding. After wiping it away a few times, finally the tech stopped and took the time to hold pressure until it stopped. That’s how badly I bled. This most recent time, I came in with square nails and asked to keep the shape. Unfortunately, I broke one of my nails the day before so that one was short. I again asked her to leave my nail shape alone, just file them down a bit, and I’m fine with having one short, unmatching broken nail. She quickly acknowledged what I said (although in retrospect, it may have been dismissive) and then proceeded to give me the shortest, roundest nail shape I have ever had. I look like I have the hands of a 5 year old. I noticed they were rounded after she finished a hand, but by then it was too late, so I let her continue so my hands would match. I am furious that all my nails were taken down and I have to wait weeks for my nails to grow out again. They’re so short that it hurts to touch things, she really filed as far down as possible. This is definitely not what I asked for. Some of my nails are still jagged from the rough, chopping filing she did (probably because she had entire corners of my square nail to file down!) and I had to file them at home myself after they were snagging on my clothing. This was a MISERABLE experience, I will not be back, and I will be telling everyone I know not to come. Definitely beware— they rush through your manicure and do not take the time to figure out what you want.
Edit: it has been 5 days since the manicure and it just now stopped hurting when touching things with the 2 shortest nails. I expected them to have grown out enough to be comfortable by now but I’m still waiting. Someone from the spa has reached out and sent me a generic, unprofessional apology and offer, but did not remember to change the name in the last part of the message. Pathetic. Don’t come here.

Read moreThis past weekend, my friends and I booked spa packages for our getaway in NYC. While the staff were very inviting, and our manicurists were above average, both of my friends had terrible experiences with their massages and/or facials. I personally had a very professional massage therapist and esthetician but they had a different experience. We all booked the same package so we expected a certain level of standard practice. For our 24 karat gold facial, one of my friends had her face zapped repeatedly with some sort of gun, while my other friend and I did not. It was painful and unexpected without any explanation. She was then told to wait in the room afterwards for her massage and the esthetician excused herself and said the masseuse would be right in. A few minutes later she came back saying she would be doing the massage as well and it was clear that it was a mix up and she wasn’t actually a massage therapist. It was supposed to be a deep tissue massage and it clearly was not. She also left the room multiple times during the course of the massage. Meanwhile, my other friend had a very aggressive and painful massage— there was no pattern, she dug into certain areas and others skipped. She asked if she wanted hot stones (not included in the package) for which she said no to, but the therapist still applied them. She was sore all night and when she woke up this morning. Also, both of her services were interrupted several times with other workers coming in and out of the room repeatedly. I don’t like to leave negative reviews as I know that for the most part people work very hard but we spent a lot of money for there to be mix ups like this. Additionally, the spa called or texted me 3 times before the actual day to confirm our time and services (understandable as we were 3 people scheduled for 2 hours of services each), so you think it wouldn’t have been a problem. I wonder if it’s hard getting back into the swing of things after closures due to COVID-19 but I definitely won’t be booking any spa services...
