Stay away! This is a horrible college! While the classes and professors are great, this college has so many problems. First being that many of the offices do not respond to inquires of the students. The Financial Aid Office doesn't exist since I have sent multiple inquiries to them by phone and email and I have never heard anything from their office. I had to pay out of pocket for my classes. The graduation office is even worse. I applied for graduation in November 2022 and they never contacted me about being two classes short to graduate and I am finding this out in March when my graduate school informed me they were not receiving my degree from Lehman College because they never told me I needed two more classes to graduate. If I was properly communicated with, I would of taken care of those last two classes over the winter and maybe even this semester (Spring, 2023). I filed a complaint to the graduation office and I have still not heard back from them. The only reliable office at this college is the Student Disabilities Office since they are excellent at responding to inquiries and are very helpful with accommodations and necessities for your courses. If you attend this college, beware of your Degreeworks portal! The portal does not include necessary elective courses on your portal that you will need to graduate with which is what happened to me. When I was down two classes, the degree portal did not indicate the second class I need to graduate with. The portal should say "3 credits in an elective class". The parking situation is terrible. The cost for an all day permit is $75 per semester. While I do understand the amount of parking is limited, there is a horrible wait time. You usually don't get your permit until two weeks after the semester begins and the college enforces the permit even though you do not have access to your permit for the semester. Finding parking around the city for the first two weeks of the semester can be quite tricky. In the Fall 2022 semester, I had a class where the Professor never showed up, did not respond to inquires and since this professor was MIA, the class got cancelled! These are major problems this college has. While the academic programs are great, you get horrible customer service from the offices of this college. I do not recommend pursing a degree at this college and this college was a bad choice for me. Pay a little more to attend a private institution or attend a different CUNY or SUNY School in the...
Read moreA Summer Experience Like No other!
Lehman College’s More Than a Camp summer program is truly exceptional! From the moment my daughter, joined last summer, I knew I had made the right choice. As a parent, finding a safe, fun, and enriching environment for your child can be challenging, but this camp exceeded all my expectations.
Mr. Brandon (Taylor) and his team of incredible camp counselors go above and beyond to make every child’s experience unforgettable. Their professionalism, enthusiasm, and dedication to the kids are evident in everything they do. They create a warm and welcoming space where children not only have fun but also grow socially and emotionally. The counselors are kind, patient, and truly invested in each camper, ensuring that every child feels included, supported, and safe.
Before attending camp, my daughter was a shy six-year-old who was hesitant in social settings. However, More Than a Camp transformed her into a confident, outgoing, and excited little girl. She came home each day with amazing stories about new friends, fun activities, and the lessons she learned. It was a joy to watch her grow, and I have this camp to thank for that.
If you’re a parent looking for a high-quality summer program, look no further. This camp is worth every penny! The experiences, friendships, and personal growth your child will gain here are priceless. I highly recommend More Than a Camp to any parent who wants their child to have a safe, engaging, and truly special summer.
Thank you, Mr. Brandon and the entire team, for making this camp such a wonderful place for kids! We can’t wait to return!
