BUYER BEWARE - THEY SELL TOP SHELF BOTTLES WITH BROKEN SEALS. On 01/14/23 at 6pm I bought a bottle of Glenmorangie 12 year Sherry Cask for $60+taxes and paid the staff. They gave me the box and I left. When I got home and my husband took the bottle out, to our surprise THE SEAL WAS BROKEN. We immediately called the store to talk with a person and he explained, “you need to bring the bottle back to the store and the manager will decide” and my husband ended the call. My husband immediately called back to ask if the manager was in, and the person said he’s busy. I asked, can you please tell the manager that there is a customer on the phone and he said, “no and then hung up on me.” I tried to call again and they kept hanging up repeatedly. We went to the store to talk with the staff. They refused to give me their name but I believe the person I was speaking to was actually the “manager” and said the store doesn’t do refunds. We requested that they either offer us a replacement bottle or a store credit until they could refill their stock of our what we purchased since ours was the last bottle on the shelf. We just want a bottle with a closed seal. He said that’s going to take a few weeks for them to test the bottle and that we need to call “Empire”, who they claimed is their distributor. I asked to talk with his manager and he said he’s on vacation and that his name is Mr. J, with no additional information. He reiterated that they don’t do refunds. And again I explained, “WE DO NOT WANT A REFUND, WE WANT A BOTTLE WITH A CLOSED SEAL.” He told me to call the company and that it was my responsibility to check if the bottle inside the box was properly closed with the seal unbroken. HE BASICALLY WAS TELLING ME CUSTOMERS CANNOT TRUST THEM, SO THE CUSTOMER NEEDS TO CHECK THE BOTTLES BEFORE BUYING. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! I GOT DUPED BY THEM AND I WAS A VICTIM OF A SCAM. I will never buy anything from this store ever again, and sadly their staff is...
