Luke's — Local services in New York

Today I went to Luke’s to trade in a few items towards the Gallery Dept. Carpenter pants they had in stock. Although I wasn’t able to hear back from anyone via Instagram DM prior to my arrival, luckily, they were still in stock when I had arrived 45 minutes later. The store, although small, is packed with a highly curated selection of fine designer clothing, shoes, and accessories. They also have a nice selection of streetwear. The trade in process was simple and the sales associate Matin was very helpful. He even suggested I try on the pants which was nice considering many stores do not have fitting rooms. I had declined considering I already had the same pants in a different color and knew my size. I made sure to ask Matin to measure the inseam as I’ve ordered pants before that were taken in and were a bit too short for my taste. The trade in process was seamless, even though they had passed on items I thought they would be interested, they settled on taking my Supreme American Flag box logo. I wanted a little bit more store credit for my item on trade in, but I guess the item I was trading in wasn’t very desirable to their store; which is fine. The price for the carpenters was very fair at $650 considering the retail was $1195. Overall I was very satisfied with my experience at Luke’s. I will be frequenting Luke’s in the future and would recommend the shop to others who are looking for those esoteric gems which can be found on...

This was my first visit to the NYC store, and while I was genuinely curious to check it out, the experience felt somewhat unwelcoming.
