This is definitely a great idea for a business. We went on a Friday night and it was pretty crowded. I like how there are free lockers to store your stuff but they didn’t have enough for every group, some groups were looking around and waiting for a locker to open.
I didn’t expect the staff to be so not involved and laid back, you have to guide yourself through all of this and take it upon yourself to ask questions. I’m used to other immersive experiences or escape type rooms that have a staff walk you through everything quickly before you start. It would have been nice if that was the case here, it was pretty chaotic when you walk in.
There is really nothing high tech about this place, it’s just four white walls and a projector and a camera. I was expecting more for $45 a person. Most groups where playing the IP games like black mirror, Tetris and squid game. Maybe we would have liked it more if we chose one of those. We did psychedelic mansion. I think it would have been better for a family. Also the headsets way down on your head and hurt towards the end of the game. We were all left branded with an indentation on our forehead.
The graphics were pretty cool in the beginning in the intro but once you get into gameplay it was pretty basic. The word bomb game and the puzzle one were the most fun. I liked how pairs took turns to complete the game but they should have mixed up the pairs so you get to work with someone new each time. When you fail a game the SFX is so loud it blew my ear drums even though we had the setting down low. The games were very repetitive. When the hour was over it just stopped, no warning. We did have fun, but it wasn’t the most fun we had at a game experience before. Maybe I was holding this place to too much high standards.
You can purchase drinks and they will bring to your box but for 60 min I don’t want to be distracted with a drink. Outside the boxes there are some tables and chairs and one bathroom in the back.
Would I go again? No, unless it was a work expensed thing. It’s just way too expensive for what you get. I rather stay at home and play my VR headset or another game...
Read moreUpdate- customer service has issued a full refund to make amends for the experience we had, which is more than gracious so updating my rating- not that it changed my experience but because customer service was extremely receptive and helpful and HEARD complaints and addressed them accordingly. Thank you for that!
I began to give this place 2 stars but giving them 1 because I came here to celebrate a birthday for my neice, it wasn’t at all what we expected (we were thinking VR but it was NOT that) which may have been an oversight on our behalf but when speaking to employees there about a partial refund or potential credit, they said they would have someone from corporate (I guess) reach out about the possibility, gave me a card and I haven’t heard a peep since. Customer service is paramount for me even if the experience wasn’t what I’d expected. Not to mention one of the employees-perhaps a supervisor, a heavier set Caucasian woman (I didn’t get her name), was extremely condescending and seem very short tempered with the kids I was with about how to play the game. It’s as if she was agitated we were even there. Overall - out of an hr we stayed about 10 mins and the experience was subpar. I wouldn’t entirely recommend but if you do simply know what to expect. It’s NOT VR and...
Read moreI had the pleasure of experiencing Immersive Games, and it was an absolute blast! Thanks to a Yelp invite, my friend and I got to try this unique activity, complete with a complimentary beverage (yes, they have alcohol!).
The setup is impressive: you're placed in a large box with interactive screens projected on three walls, creating a truly immersive environment. After a brief registration, each player receives a head visor that tracks your movements throughout the game. The technology is cutting-edge; for instance, the head visor accurately tracks even the slightest movements, ensuring a seamless gameplay experience. Additionally, the interactive screens respond dynamically to your actions, making the whole experience incredibly lifelike.
We chose to do the Squid Game interactive, where we played all the games from the series. It was intense and exhilarating! The rooms can accommodate up to six people, but you need a minimum of two to play. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Immersive Games is great fun with friends, family, or both. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an exciting and...
