I’ll do my best to not make this long. But it’s important you read the stuff I experienced. I have a store across the street from Luxeye for 37yrs. I’m the son and owner. Wear glasses. Tried them years back. Maybe 4ish. First time I went the owner was there, she is a sweet and bright and quite funny women who literally went against my gut and promised me to get a frame I never normally got. I’m a salesman. I listened. In 2 days like she said they were my favorite ever.

Have bought maybe 10ish pair over a few years. HERE IS THE REVIEW: today in little neck the rain was so bad like I’ve not seen it intense in that time period. My father uses a walker. Helping him to car. Lifting his legs for him helping while the rain is just insane. Water Well over my ankles. Bent over my GLASSES FELL OFF MY FACE into the stream and took off like a horse. Gone. Went inside and called them. The owner answered. I can provide time stamps. 41 min after my call she had my glasses ready, and, they are actually same ones that I lost. I would have been super happy if they were pink. Anythijg at all’s Anything to get home. While it was a few hundred dollar mistake, if you can, only if you can, shop local guys. No Warby Parker or Amazon or anything. This women, who soaking wet is 65-70 lbs lighter me easily during the peak Of the rain said she would run them across street to me. Wheee The heck would we get service like this anywhere? I’ve dealt With her and another gentleman who both made me get glasses they said I will be happy I did at the time I didn’t want them and they are - well were my two favorite pair ever. I’m so thankful we have some service left in this country. Their prices are not like expensive. Not at all. Also not free. Depends what you got. Mine were $300. They are perfect for me. And I hope one person reads this and thinks I should try local over corporate and if glasses is the need trust me. Luxeye worst case treat you like you want to be treated. Human beings. I’ll pay for you pair if somehow you are unhappy which you won’t be. Just look across northern and look for the store directly across theirs. They know who i am. But you won’t have to bc they are people who offer to run in torrential rain for customer so you will never have an issue. Sorry for length but I don’t know if Luxeye is aware that today they made me believe in the service industry again.

The worst experience ever from an optics store. I have been consumer of cohen optics for more than 10 years, but this time wanted to try something new, specially to support new businesses in our neighbourhood in pandemic time. Here where things started to become awkward: 1) very pushy just at the beginning, and offering very limited choices even though everything was covered by our insurance in terms of lenses 2) charging a small amount of copay upfront which was pretty unusual based on our experience from other stores, i.e. never ever had upfront payment for copays. It was kind of incompetency signal which we ignored. 3) Delivering lenses took 4 weeks at first, but it turned out that their store doctor had a wrong prescription, so it took another 8 weeks to have "correct" lenses. So, I picked up my glasses today and will see if they put correct lenses. I have visited this store at least 10 times in the last 3 months, such a waste of time. Above ALL: The store kept saying that the insurance has delay in delivering lenses! I needed to confirm this with my insurance company if they deliver lenses too. It turned out to be a blunt lie! since insurance company confirmed that it is in the discretion of the stores to order the lenses from few labs and the insurance is responsible for billing only. The store even denied to provide us a tracking number and lab information that we can follow-up directly. Usually prescribed eye glasses will come with "pass" lenses, a card which contains all information about the lenses, however that wasn't the cases in this store! Overall, wish never had seen this store in our neighbourhood! Just do a favore for yourself and save your valuable time and money and do businesses with others.
