Bad place for transfer students. They only want freshman right out of high school. I remember calling back in 2022 and the lady on the phone had a baby that was making sooo much noise and I barely heard what she was telling me. I told her what I read in their website that they only favor freshman students over transfer students and that I was a transfer and that they probably wouldn't take my credits. She dismissed me right then and there. She said "oh no you're a transfer? Then no because we prefer highs schoolers who just graduated." I was so disgusted because they do abide by this rule. But you know why? Because we transfer students know how to ask questions and know when the tuition is too high. So they wanna milk the bank accounts of the parents of these newcomers who have NO EXPERIENCE in college. So transfer students stay AWAY. I actually go to a better school in NJ which is very good and way cheaper. The only downside is the commute but I can deal with that. The picture I posted is straight from their website. Also I have a coworker who goes to this school and she's desperate bc she has no support. They fail ppl left to right and even if they miss half a point. She needs help but this college is money hungry and leave their students alone. Too bad. Mercy you need...
Read moreReceived my Associates at Mercy and the classes were okay, not too challenging tho. Fast forward to an offer for a scholarship for my bachelor's, and so I moved forward with it. 2 semesters away from my degree, I dropped down to 6 credits due to personal issues and when I finished the semester, I received a phone call from financial aid that my scholarship was canceled (after the fact). Never received communication during the semester so that I had a chance to add a class or pay. This caused me to have an unnecessary bill I couldnt afford. I received no apology from financial aid, contacted the president, and she was so unconcerned nor offered any resolution. Just very unapologetic. The outstanding bill kept me from transferring credits or finishing my degree. Had to start...
Read moreAmazed they still kept certain advisors even after their revamp. Save your money and don't go here. They don't care about their students. Had an issue with a professor and went up the chain of command only to be shot down at every turn. He later got fired for the same thing I complained about and everyone told me I was making a big deal out of nothing for. Ended up having to retake the class and pay out of pocket for it because I lost my scholarship due to him failing me the first time. Overall disgusting and unprofessional behavior from staff and faculty. They will talk about students behind their backs and spread rumors as if they're back in high school. Save your money, time, and mental health and...
