I had my first “injectible” experience with Marianna. When I got there she asked me if I was nervous, and I said I was - again, she gently asked me why, specifically? And I said I wasn’t sure, the needles? Or the pain? Or my face being potentially deformed?. None of those things really, I was just worked up right from the start. But I powered through and paid for the undereye filler and some baby Botox (first time and all). Marianna was incredible and explaining everything, every second of the way. We started with Botox, this required about 12-15 injections. I lost my mind after this, I was crying and hyperventilating, and I just could not continue. Marianna was so professional and kind and sympathetic to my wildly inappropriate emotional reaction. She offered to wait before doing the second procedure, or simply reschedule for the following week. So that’s what I did. I rescheduled for the next week - still unconvinced that I would even go.
That whole night I was so shaken up, it was a really terrible experience, I remember thinking how do women do this everyday?! But as the days went on, I became happier and happier with my Botox. It was super subtle, and smoothed wrinkles enough while allowing me to make all my facial expressions.
For my second appointment - I came prepared with Valium. This time, Marianna used topical lidocaine to numb the skin before she poked it, and the filler itself has lidocaine in it. It was a much less stressful procedure this time. I certainly have more bruising after this procedure, than from the Botox, but that will fade, it’s not too bad. I still had about half a syringe of filler left, and Marianna suggest holding onto it and using it if I needed a touch up next week - so kind.
Marianna’s professionalism and empathy were paramount to making my experiences are great as possible. In addition to all the other things I said about her - at one point, the syringe broke and the contents splattered all over my face. She quickly apologized and cleaned it up and just kept going as if nothing had happened. She is wonderful. I truly recommend if you are interested in quality cosmetic injectible at a...
Read moreBAD BOTOX - The nice lady who takes the appointment is the only good thing about this place and why I give a 1 not 0. Otherwise I am extremely upset and disappointed with the service I got. First, I arrived to the address, went upstairs and found a random waiting room for another office. When I asked where to go I was told to call the company. Very weird - not a good vibe to start. Then... I had requested a specific person who had been recommended by a close friend... that person no longer worked there and they never told me. So I was finally greeted 10 min late by a man in a suit claiming to be the "Doctor". I'm still not sure if he is a licensed doctor. I should have left that moment but in good faith to my friend that recommended I went with it. So... I'm alone in a room with the man... he ask a couple of questions. I explained that I have had botox many times before and my results have always been good. I explained dosage and placement and what I was looking for. He agreed and proceeded with the injections. Which hurt more than I've experienced before. I walked out hopeful and excited to be wrinkle free for the next few months. Well... that excitement lasted about 2 days... then the botox fully kicked in and its bad. BAD BOTOX! My eyes are puffy with hooded lids. I can not lift my brows. I have wrinkles at my hair line which were never there before and is the only moving part now. google it... every review of bad botox describes this look and feeling. I can not put on mascara without lifting my brow with my other hand. And I'm very uncomfortable. Note: I contacted them right away to tell them I was unhappy. They said give it a couple weeks it should be ok. I did. STILL NOT HAPPY. They refuse to refund my money. And unfortunately the only thing to do is wait for it to wear out... so I have 8 -12 months to be this uncomfortable. I will review this company any and everywhere I can to help people avoid this problem and...
Read moreI had a very good experience with this place because they made an appointment for me very quickly (other places in NYC can take up to a month before they have an opening), they saw me on a Saturday, and I didn't have to wait on the day of my appointment. The place was clean, the technician was good and courteous, and they sent me a follow-up text a few days later to check how I was doing. Their prices are also very reasonable, and my results were great--absolutely no complaints.
I found this place on Groupon, and last year I used Groupon a lot until I was chatting with one small business owner and she told me Groupon takes a 60% cut of coupons, which I think is ridiculously high. Since then, I contact places directly and ask if they will match the Groupon price without me going through Groupon. Give that a try with this place and others if you prefer to give more support to local business owners.
One last thing, you can expect to get a text from them asking for credit card details before they will make an appointment for you (to hold the appointment--they won't charge you until the service has been completed), which I have found some other places in NYC do as well. I told them I preferred to give them the details by phone rather than text, and they said that was no problem and we did it that way. It can be off putting for people to be asked to give their credit card info before they have even gone to a place--and I think some people even jump to the conclusion that this is a scam--but I found that this is a legit business that did not do anything fraudulent with my card.
I just asked them for a second appointment because I was satisfied with...
