If I could give 0 star I would. I am writing this review at 3am in the morning due to food poisoning from the undercooked salmon dish I ordered. Came here from out of town, went there because good reviews on Google. Maybe other people had good experiences, they may had good server and different cook. However, I had terrible server, terrible food.

First, terriable foos. I ordered girlled salmon which was undercooked, but I didn't realize that until half way through my dinner. The light in the restaurant made it a little hard to see but I eventually noticed undercooked pink areas on my salmon. Talked to the waitor, he brought it back, 1 min later my salmon is back after being microwaved. Now I am paying the price by throwing up all night at 3am.

Second, terriable server. in around 4pm, the restaurant was basically empty at the time. My 4 years old wanted to sit outside, but when we went outside we decided to go inside due to flies hanging around the table. When we turn around went in, we followed the server. He was leading us of course, opened the door went in, almost crushed my 4 years old feet under the door, luckily we got the door on time. Common courtesy, if people behind you, especially a 4 years old right behind you, you hold the door real quick just in case the door closes too fast and hurt someone behind you. Courtesy doesn't exist in my server's dictionary apparently.

In short, what a nightmare experience. I am just praying I will stop throwing up soon, my stomach cramping is beyond miserable.

Forgot to take photos, but my dish is grilled salmon with spinach. Don't know my server's name, he is a mid aged Asian man that's all I...

! Discrimination in this restaurant !

I visited this restaurant to spend time with a friend on the terrace, which is very common in the summer due to the heat. We decided to eat outside and enjoyed an Italian beer suggested by the waiter. We ordered fried calamari, lasagna, and linguine. Everything went well until it was time to pay, when we left the maximum tip because we were well attended by the waiter and the hardworking Latino servers.

However, my experience took a turn for the worse when I decided to use the restroom. As I entered the restaurant, a man who I assumed was the manager approached me aggressively, demanding that I leave the restaurant because I couldn't use the restroom due to my attire and skin color. I felt deeply offended and confused by this discrimination and racism. I couldn't believe that I was being denied the right to use the restroom despite having consumed and paid in the restaurant, just because of my Latino origin and skin color, and my summer attire on a hot day.

I immediately went back to the table and told my friend what had happened. The manager came over to apologize, but the discrimination had already taken place. Discrimination and racism are unacceptable in any context.

For this reason, I advise everyone to avoid this place. The experience was extremely negative, and it's not worth the risk of going through a...

We are from out of town and had not been to the city for a while. After a visit to The Met and on our way home we were searching for a place to have a late lunch. Stopping in to Osteria Laguna was a spontaneous decision and one that was not regretted. The interior was inviting and comfortable and that is part of what drew us in. The menu had quite a few varied and appetizing choices. And, from an NYC perspective the prices seemed reasonable.

Soon after our order was placed, we were presented with (not sure what to call it) an assortment of olives with thinly sliced lemon and lime segment drizzled with an (I assume) infused olive oil. Quite tasty and not so heavy as to take away from your main course. I had a "Pizze" with smoked prosciutto, asiago and mozzarella with shavings of (?) basil. This is done in a brick oven. If you are expecting a pizzeria pizza, you might be disappointed. I wasn't necessarily, but even if I was, oh my..... It was more of a flat bread than a pizza crust. Served with a hot red pepper olive oil, my only disappointment was that I could not finish the entire plate.

Finally, the service was friendly and correctly attentive.

I would recommend this to anyone on a visit to the...

After watching a Chopped re-run and seeing the head chef take home first place, decided to try some take-out - Proscuitto San Daniele pizza and Raviolini di Salmone. TLDR: both dishes were amazing, give this place a try. First off, the pizza - the dough was impeccable - I was eating with someone who lived in Italy for many years and is notoriously picky about Italian food, and they were in heaven. The last time they enjoyed a pizza in NYC was from Lucali... and let's just say you don't need to deal with hours of waiting here. The proscuitto was also great, you can tell they are using high quality ingredients. The ravioli was also great - pasta sauce was light enough to let the texture/taste of the pasta shine through. Tasty salmon filling. If you're looking for huge portions this probably won't satisfy you but for taste/value ratio we will definitely be having food from Osteria Laguna in the near future.

I never left any place without a tip. That was my first time. I was surprised at how fast they brought the food; it was really nice. Also, the food that was served before our order, such as olives and bread was better than my pizza, which I’ve ordered. Half of the pizza was burnt. I didn’t eat that, as thin-dough Italian pizza, which is burnt, tastes awful. None of the waiters care about it. One guy took everything from our table, except the burnt pizza. The guy who took our order and came with the bill completely ignored my complaint. He was more interested in the tip than their service. When I said that pizza was burnt, he said, ‘That’s fine, that’s fine.’ Nobody apologized; they didn’t care at all. He didn’t even say goodbye when we said thank you. Awful, poor service. I will definitely never be back.

Great Italian food you can enjoy with coworkers, friends and family or even alone! The restaurant is surprisingly very spacious and the noise level is good so that you can hear people. We got their margherita pizza, burrata beet appetizer and lasagna which were all good. The focaccia in the bread basket was great. The tiramisu was light and creamy. Highly recommend and would go back to try some pasta. Went back again for lunch on a weekday. Tried their spaghetti alla vongole and it was very good. The pasta was perfectly cooked, seasoned and there were a lot of clams. Portion was very big. The porcini polenta with parmigiana was very flavorful and soft and buttery. My friend got the homemade tagliatelle with butternut squash and porcini. The tagliatelle pasta was delicious and had a dense texture.
