Lucy is a one of a kind. I have typically not had positive experiences getting others to do my makeup. I've never felt listened to when I say I want to look natural, not overdone. Not with Lucy. I'd never had my make-up airbrushed on before, which was revolutionary. It gave just a very light coverage of foundation - just enough to even out and brighten my complexion but not so much that the real me didn't show through. Equally, my eye make-up was just enough to complement my complexion and define my eyes without being too much. Lucy really listened to me and recommended eyeshadow shades that suited me perfectly but were still within my comfort zone.

And last, but not least, my hair: It was fun in our trial session to google lots of images of possible styles and get her advice on which would suit me. On the day I was really pleased with how it all came together - she nailed it straight away the hairstyle was exactly how I wanted it.

Lucy was a joy to have there on my wedding day while I was getting ready. She was super calm and uber professional. I felt like I was in such safe hands. My Mom, who is a tough critic, also felt really confident and comfortable with the way Lucy did her hair and make-up.

Lucy was an absolute delight to work with. I first met her a little over a year before my wedding, on the day of my sister's wedding! Before I even saw the beautiful work she does, I noticed the way she offered an upbeat but calming and assured presence in the getting ready room. I booked her immediately after my sister's big day!

I did two hair and makeup trials with Lucy prior to my wedding day, which I highly recommend. Lucy did exactly what my inspiration pictures showed at my first trial, I just ended up not liking it on me as much as I thought I would, but struggled to explain it. She was immediately able to understand why - frankly she read my mind. She was able to verbalize things I couldn't verbalize, and through that process created my DREAM look at our second trial. Throughout the whole process she was patient, understanding, intuitive, and just plain FUN to spend a couple of hours with!

On the day of the wedding, her team arrived promptly and ready to go; all my bridesmaids were very happy with the work Lucy's team members provided. She even stayed for touch ups after our ceremony, and was very understanding when our ceremony ran longer than I anticipated.

Miss Harlequin did makeup for my micro wedding - myself, the two mothers and the four sisters between my husband and me. It was difficult finding a makeup artist on short notice given our short engagement, so I was thrilled they were available on the Saturday of our summer wedding. Lucy was very responsive and highly organized, making it easy to coordinate.

After having an initial trial I wasn't happy with the week of my wedding, Lucy quickly set up a second trial with another artist that more closely fit the timeless, elegant, natural and romantic aethetic I wanted. Maria was absolutely everything I was looking for. She was punctual, personable, professional and fast and brought a calming, grounded presence to all of us the day of the wedding. The colors she had were gorgeous on our skin tones and everyone had a soft, natural look that enhanced their beautiful features. My family and I trusted her completely and felt gorgeous all day. She also had helpful tips about how to prep my skin for the day.
