Atlantic Theater Company Linda Gross Theater — Attraction in New York

I just love coming to see Theater here . The shows are always great and the staff is beyond friendly . Atlantic really does a great job of welcoming a diverse range of Theater goers .

Accessibility is alive and well here with elevators & a nice ramp outside . They also have a gala pro for those that would like to read captions during a performance .

The seats for wheelchairs /walkers provide a nice view of the stage and the staff is happy to help with any accommodations you might need- just give them a call .

Btw they also are having an audio described performance of grief camp on April 30 for those who are blind or vision impaired .

I had a great center seat at this intimate venue to watch The Welkin on 5/26/24. The play had a mostly female cast, including the marvelous Sandra Oh. The set was minimalistic for this play & somehow 20 actresses or so were often on the stage together! The view was perfect & I could understand most of the dialogue, although it required me to really focus. The building is next door to a church on a lovely street in Chelsea. Amazingly, my accommodations were one block away. Sandra chatted & took photos with fans outside after most performances. She even signed an Eve jersey for a...

"Women Or Nothing" is the 4th play we've seen in this theater in the last few years and it's terrific. But more to the point, the expression "Off Broadway" has developed new meaning over the last 40 years as theaters like this have been built in Manhattan.

And yes, this is a "theater company" but we look at performances as one off's.

We think the language of the theater has to be changed as theaters like this produce fabulous plays and perform them in appropriate settings..............in a way, it's like being at the La Jolla...
